Getting to Volcano Bay walking from the Double Tree across from Universal?

We have walked over to the Universal parks before on past trips but never to Volcano Bay and like to know how to get there. We plan on entering Universal property from the Valet Parking security check point. Where do we go from there to catch the bus over to Volcano Bay? I assume we turn left after going up the escalators and go towards the parking garage but am clueless after that. We have never been in the Universal parking garage before, we have always walked to the parks from our hotel.

The only way I can see how to get to the parking garage for Volcano Bay is taking the sidewalks from across the street at the Double Tree hotel and doing the Valet security check. We didn’t plan to walk all the way to Volcano Bay. Just asking where to catch the bus in the parking garage after we have gone through security by Valet and are now up the escalator. Will we see signs pointing us where to go going towards into the parking garage? I’ll ask security where to go once we are checked.

That’s a long walk. Also the entrance to volcano bay is very random. I would recommend ubering or renting a car

the VB bus area is ground floor of the parking garage - from the entrance road by Doubletree, it would be all the way on the left of the parking garages. You can follow the signs once in the hub area if you can't figure out how to get there (Security).

I would definitely ask if you don't see signage in the hub area. Universal has 2 huge garages and you need to find the 1st floor of the right one. I remember a post from a year or so ago from someone whose kids got dropped off in the ride share area (top floor of one garage) and couldn't find the VB shuttles.

If you have trouble finding it, the other alternative is to go to one of the resorts and catch the VB bus from there. The RPR shuttle pickup is not far from the RPR water taxi dock. Would definitely be a longer trip though. If you find it is a long walk from the hub to the VB bus in the garage, consider walking to Cabana Bay when you leave VB and taking a shuttle to City Walk from there, will drop you off closer to security area.

Do you need to show a hotel card to use Universals resort buses or can anyone use them. Looks like the Hard Rock would be a closer walk from the Double Tree to catch a bus.

No cards needed to ride the buses/water taxis. While they check Cabana Bay cards for guests walking from CB to VB, they do not check them on the way out of VB.

Just back and wanted to update. We ended up walking over to the Hard Rock and caught the bus to Volcano Bay from there. It was a really easy walk to and from.
