Getting to St. John From St. Thomas?!?!

Hello everyone,

My Mom and I would love to go over to St. John after docking at St. Thomas, but we don't know exactly how to get there (without doing a DCL excursion as they generally involve bus tours and/or beach trips). Can anyone tell me if there is some sort of ferry or taxi that will bring us over, and roughly how much it costs?

Also, we have heard that St. John is really nice to go visit, however no one mentiones exactly what there is to do. Is the shopping better? What can we plan to do while at St. John?

this is Very Easy to do... Get off the ship ask for the taxis to the Ferry boat... and then they will take u there...

do not know the cost but.... when u get off the Ferry on St. John
There is some real nice shopping places right there within walking distance of the dock ... and like any port u visit there will be people there to offer u what the island had to offer ... beach trips
and so on .. Very peaceful island 75% National forrest..
