Getting to Racetrack from WL on Marathon day

Will we need to add extra time getting there? DH has Richard Petty rookie experience booked at 12:30pm that Sunday. I noticed the marathon goes around the raceway....or it looked that way on the map I found. Or by 12:30 will most of the runners be past that point? TIA~

You'll have no trouble at all perdidobay.

The race begins at 6 a.m., and the runners go past the race course at about 8 and 14 miles. Last year the last finisher of the 1/2 marathon took 3 hours and 45 minutes, so the last runner will clear the 14 mile point about 10 a.m.

It will take a bit of time for the finishers of the 1/2 to clear the finish area, which is in the Pluto parking lot in front of the Polynesian. They're pretty stiff and sore, so it may take until 10:30 for that area to empty out, but that's still well before your DH's appointment.
