Hubby and I are making out first Disney trip together, neither of us has been to Disney World since we were teenagers. We are flying and will not have a car, but want to make a trip to Publix for food & beer. Staying at Pop Century, but know that Lynx can be picked up at either Downtown Disney or TTC

Does anyone know what the best route to take Lynx to Publix is and which is the closest by public transportation?

Thanks in advance!

Have you considered having groceries delivered? Garden Grocer and wegoshop both deliver for a small fee and it would save you a lot of time and trouble.

I have never taken the bus to Publix but it sounds like huge inconvenience and probably a time waster. I would just use a delivery service as the PP suggested. Or if you want to shop yourself take a cab. With the cost of Disney trip that expense will not be that much more and you won’t be wasting the Disney time you already paid for using public transportation.

I totally agree with the above!

We were at OKW last fall........used yellow cab...it was $17.00 each way to Publix.....plus tip, so $40.00 round trip..

We asked the driver to come back and get us in a hour, he was right on time!

You can buy beer and "fun food" at the Hess mini-mart. You can take a Disney bus to DTD and walk. Bring an empty rolling suitcase if you plan on stocking up.

You can pack snacks and buy things you can't pack at your resort. Resort prices for beer is higher then Publix but the mark up be wind up costing less then taxi.

We usually rent a car for 1 or 3 weekend days with codes and shop Public and Disney outlet. Also get to eat off propery a few times better food and much cheaper. Never paid more than 40 for 1 day and last 3 day was 87. :goodvibes

Take the bus to DTD and buy items there.
