we have a car and will be driving ourselves from BC to PC...all you frequent cruisers, what time should we leave WDW to head to PC to beat the DCL busses and still not be sitting in/at the terminal forever...we like to people watch, but the girls will be so excited, the wait will seem forever.

We usually try to arrive at the port between 10:30 and 11. Check-in doesn't take very long and then we get in the boarding line. In 4 previous cruises, we've always begun boarding by 12:15. While my DW waits in line, I take my DD and DS and walk around the terminal and view the model of the ship. Usually around 11:30-11:45, some Disney characters will make an appearance and we'll get a picture made.

The time goes by pretty fast and the boarding line gets HUGE!! My advice is to get in line early.

Have a great cruise!

Another vote for getting there early!!! Also at the terminal are TV's that play disney cartoons, a coffee shop and as Irish Cowboy mentioned the characters make an appearance. It takes about an hour or so from WDW so leave around 9:30 am.

The time really does go by quickly and you can get on and off the line. Just let the people around you in line know that you will be coming and going. On 7 DCL cruises we never had a problem with this, but we do always keep at least one person in line at all time.
