getting to parks from offsite hotel

Hello all. Our family (DH, DS 2.5 yrs & myself) will be going to WDW April 27-May 3, 2003. We are staying at the Summerfield Suites in LBV which is very near DTD. My question is, what would be the best place to park and the best way to get to the parks? We are driving down, so we will have our own vehicle. I just don't really want to spend $7.00 in parking and then have to walk forever, ride the tram, walk, etc with a toddler. I was just wondering if anyone had any strategies for this. I had heard someone mention parking at one of the resorts and hopping a bus or monorail right from there. Any suggestions would be reall helpful!

Hi I dont know if I would park at a resort because over the last few times we have been to WDW after 9/11 they have allways asked for a ID and where we were going.
So what would you say to the man at the gate? I am here to park

But I would shoot for parking at DTD and rideing the bus over from there.

They no longer have busses to the parks from DD, due to the abuse of this.

Parking at the resorts is for the guests paying to stay at the resorts. Parking is not for offsite guests who wish to avoid paying to park in the parks. Perhaps your resort will have shuttle busses to the parks.

Buy an annual pass. That gives you free parking at the theme parks.

BTW our local theme park (Paramount Kings Island) now charges $9.00 for parking.

Parking in the parking lot is really not all that bad. The parking lot tram is one of our son's favorite things.

You could take the hotel shuttle....approx. schedule

AK & MK......8am, 10, 12

MGM & Epcot 9, 11, 1

With return busses beginning at 2 pm....

And once you pay the $7, it's good at all the parking lots. Just keep your receipt.
