Aside from renting a car, does anyone know of any mass transit options for getting from the port down to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area? Bus, train etc?

Thanks,

Renting a car would be the fast and easiest option. There isn't a train as far as i know and it would be difficult to find a bus going out of Canaveral unless it is like a Grayhound.

Thanks.

If anyone has a suggestion for a car rental company that is close, I would appreciate it.

There is no mass transit that travels from Port Canaveral to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. I think your best bet would be to rent a car - see Dave's dcl tribute website www.dcltribute.com for more details. The train for south florida goes from miami to wpb. You may be able to take amtrak but I think only from Kissimmee which would not work. You can rent a car and travel to Miami on 95 in about 3- 3.5 hours.

I Agree....renting a car is w/o question the way to go when traveling to S Florida....supply often exceeds demand, so good deals are plenty.....My FIL swears by Enterprise.....check them out....
