Is it a hassle to go to the BWI from the Poly? Looking for some places to eat and thought it may be nice to walk the boardwalk with the kids after dinner. Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!
Just to add, we don't have a car and taxi isn't an option since our 3 kids needs car seats/boosters.

Take the bus from the Polynesian to DHS and take the boat from DHS to the Boardwalk. It's the third stop on the boat.

You can also walk it, but I don't know if you'd want to with three children who are young enough to still need car seats.

You can also take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, walk across the plaza and get a bus from MK to the Boardwalk. I believe it shares buses with the Swan and Dolphin.

Consider planning your Boardwalk adventure after an afternoon at either Epcot or DHS. In either case, it is a boat ride (or long walk) away.

I always try and plan my days to minimize travel and maximize experience!

It IS a beautiful walk and the kids should enjoy the area.

A taxi would be the best option...all the cabs used on Disney properties are run by Mears transportation, very reliable and cost controlled. It cost us $15 plus tip to go from the Poly to BWI. You can request vans and car/booster seats! Just an option that would be easiest. You can inquire outside the Polynesian.

Or, you can take the monorail to the MK and walk to the bus stop and take the bus. It can take a long time since the BWI shares buses with BC/YC and the Swan and Dolphin as well. I don't know what the rotation of stops are on the MK bus to the resorts are since we didn't do the MK while we stayed at BWI. I know last year, my in-laws took the bus from the Poly to BWI for Kouzzina and it took them 1 1/2 hours start to finish, no exaggeration.

Kouzzina is great, however you get there, I hope you enjoy it!

I believe it's Swolphin, Yacht Club/Beach Club, then Boardwalk. And yes, it can take a long time. Best bet is to get off at the Swolphin. It's only a short walk to the Boardwalk from there.

From the MK I don't think all five resorts share buses. They might at midday. It's usually one bus for Yacht/Beach and one for Swan/Dolphin/Boardwalk.

On the DTD route, all 5 resorts definitely share a bus. Which is why I don't suggest using DTD as a transfer point.
