I thought it would be fun to get to know US!

Lets start with something simple...

What is your hometown? Where do you live now? How did you get from there to here?

Who wants to ask tomorrow?

I'll start...

Born in Pittsburgh, moved to Rosemont PA till 1966, Moved to Princeton till 1980ish (YEAH JERSEY GIRLS!), Moved to Philly till 1983, Moved to Delaware from 1983 till now...

Great thread Debbie!

I'll go, this is easy born, raised and still live in Miami, Fl. In fact, both of my kids were born in the same hospital as me!:)

Started out in Rumson NJ. Moved to Tinton Falls (2 years) then Kearny NJ (4 years). College in Poughkeepsie NY, transferred to college back near hometown and moved back to Rumson. In my 20's I lived in the following NJ towns: Rumson, Sea Bright, Eatontown, Atlantic Highlands, New Brunswick, and finally Red Bank. Gotta love those 20's. Moved to North Andover, MA 5 1/2 years ago and still live there. Plan on staying for a while :thumbsup2

Whew!!!!

I would love to do this, but in my late teens early 20's I had a stalker.:scared: So I'd like to keep the hometowns quiet.

I was born on the East Coast, went to school in New York State, lived in Florida for a short time and I am now here in Nowhere, Ohio.

OMG!! AWM that's so scary!! And being so young!

born and raised in northern ca ... moved to boston for college and haven't left ... well unless you count moving from the city to the 'burbs!

I like this also. I grew up in Pennsauken, NJ and lived in the same house until I got married and moved to Maple Shade, NJ. Just the next town over. My mom sold her house and now resides in Maple Shade.

My hometown is Salem, MA - Witch City. I have lived in 2 other cities since then, both of which border Salem, and DH is from a 3rd bordering city - we both love this area and can't imagine ever moving. Although I fantasize about being a snowbird and going back and forth to Florida in our "golden" years.

Fun! I was born in Galveston, Texas but grew up in Brenham, Texas. If you've ever had Blue Bell Ice Cream, the company was started in Brenham. I then moved to College Station for part of college and Austin for the other part. And Austin is where we've stayed! Absolutely love it here.

I was born in Maryland- Naval Academy Hospital although my parents lived in Glenn Burnie, moved to Ann Arbor Michigan, Honolulou Hawaii, Governor's Island, Ny, in third grade we moved to Gales Ferry, CT, then Miami Fl. I went to college in Boiling Springs, NC then moved to Fayetteville, NC, got married and lived there a couple of years before moving back to Miami, Fl, then Labelle, Fl, and now I am in the Bradenton, FL area.

Governor's Island, Ny,

My uncle and his family lived on Governor's Island in the late 80s when he was in the Coast Guard. My aunt is actually in the process writing a children's book about a child who grew up on the island. We visited them once - I was pretty young but I remember thinking it was really neat how my older cousin had to take a boat to get to school.

Another easy one, born, raised and still here in Gloucester City NJ. In fact, 2 years ago I bought my parent's house.

I was born in Ruislip, England. We moved to Ohio, New York, England, Germany, then Hampton, Virginia. I then moved around Florida a bit, started on Sanibel Island, then to Islamorada (they Keys) where I graduated high school. I then moved up to Lake City, Florida, where I met DH. We then lived in Denver and Newport News, Virginia for a bit, but came back to Florida. Started in Gainesville, then to Orange Park, and now in Tallahassee.

OMG!! AWM that's so scary!! And being so young!

And back then you weren't a victim, somehow you must be asking for it. :sad2: It was easier to just move & change names then try to fight to stay. And to think that in the beginning I thought it romantic that he couldn't live without me. :scared:

Stalker :scared1: very scary. AWM, that must have been awful for you.

Rlovew, I didn't know you lived in Gales Ferry. And my agency's service center is in Glen Burnie.

I was born and raised in CT. DD was born in the same hospital as I.

You all know I can't party in the evenings.... :) so I'm late...
Question was:
What is your hometown? Where do you live now? How did you get from there to here?

I was born in Indy.. parents moved around the south-eastern half of the state until I finally through a fit and told them I was NOT moving once I started HS... Moved to Bloomington for college.. Back home for a while... now we reside on the west side of the state...

AWM, sorry to hear about that..
So, next question!

I know I'm late chiming in but I still can, can't I?

Born in western PA, moved to Victoria, TX for a short time as a child, back to PA then to NW Indiana in the late 80s. My dd is now back to the same area of PA that I started out in, go figure.

Ok I'll play

What is your hometown? Where do you live now? How did you get from there to here?

I was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. Moved to the Boston area shortly after marrying DH. Let's just say that family tensions at the wedding caused us to want a little distance from my mother (a mere 500 miles and in another country:laughing: )

I'll play, too.
I was born in Irving, Texas. We moved to a small community south of DFW when I was 2. I lived in that house until I married Dh and we bought a house just a mile away. We lived in that house for 19 years and moved 2 years ago. 5 houses down, and on the same street! Can you tell I don't like change? It's actually a great area.
