Getting to Know us 12/30

The latest I ever was was the end of January. Rebecca, Easter? Did you hide eggs around it? Now I have kept the Nativity up into Feb. First thing to go up and last to come down.

No but I do have tree decor for Easter and I put them up- little bunny and egg ornaments. My mom sent them to me- I think as a joke a bit that I should take down the tree.

Whenver I feel like it, or have been guilted into it. See everyone likes to help decorate the tree, but no one likes to help take it down, so it's all up to me. I procrastinate a lot. It's artificial, so there's no rush. It's been known tostay up until the beginning of February. This year I'm aiming for next week - this week is just too busy. We'll see how that goes.

I grew up with the family tradition that it all comes down on the Epiphany (the day the Magi visited Jesus), which is January 6th. So nothing will come down before Jan. 6th. DH hates this because his mom takes everything down on New Year's Day and that's what he's used to, but in my family it's always been on the Epiphany and I hold onto that tradition. Besides, it's so pretty, I don't want to pack it away so soon.
