i'm thankful for my little man and my dh (as always) and i'm also thankful that i have my mother this year. she was so sick at the beginning of the year that i was not sure what this thanksgiving would bring. So that being said
I thankful for my core people! ds, dh and mom!

I'm thankful for several things this year!!!

1 DH

i love each and every one of my dis family.

thanks nan i forgot that one.

Core people, that is a perfect way to put it!

I'm most thankful for my DH. Even though he drives me crazy sometimes, that health scare we had this year put things in perspective for me.

Than thankful for my 2 DSs. They are the best! Ya know, sometimes I think, look what DH and I did, these are really cool people, kind, loving, caring, and so funny...can you tell I'm just a gushing mama?

Then I have my friends, both in RL and in this little box on my desk! I couldn't do it without the support and laughter that you all bring in my life!

I have 1 special RL friend who is VERY religious. For the last 5 years, every time I get bad news, I'm with her! I'm not with my family, I'm with her...when DH called about my mom, when I heard about my dad's heart attack, when DS16 had his terrible accident, when we found out that DH might be really sick. Coincidence? Not that many times...

Then my BFF, who I get along with so well, we like and hate the same things, enjoy the same interests, both have all boys. She is be best, and I feel so comfortable with her. The sister I never had...

Then there is you all in the box. RL people that I never see, but know so well. You all make me laugh and cry on a daily basis. Thankful for you guys too! You all make my day!

I am thankful for the boys in my life.

I love this question!!

Here's what I'm thankful for:

1. God, because He provides for me to get me through!
2. My DH--I may fuss about him sometimes, but as he said yesterday, "We have something pretty special" :lovestruc
3. My wonderful, wonderful DS--at this time last year, I thought we'd never have one! He is truly the light of my life!!
4. My job--again, I may fuss about going, but there are a lot of people who don't have one, and we are very blessed!
5. My family--the birth of DS has made me and my brother and his wife lots closer, and my mother and father are incredible!!
6. My wonderful DIS "sisters"--you all make me laugh, let me share stuff, and get me through
7. My health--Kenny Chesney's new album has a song on it called "I'm Alive and Well". . .it's my "must-listen-to" every morning!

I am mostly thankful my DH has a good paying job and that all of us are relatively healthy. Even with DS13's asthma, I think it could be a lot worse and he is not terminal

I am also thankful that I have 3 beautiful children who are good kids.

That my parents are still healthy and alive

For all my real life friends and cyber friends.

And I have thankful everyday that I live in a country where I go to church and praise my God the way I want.

I love this question! I made a Thankful box last year so the whole family could put what they are thankful for in it- it was so much fun and DD was so excited to get it out again.

1- God. He made this last year of intense struggle with DH's job such a learning experience. I never once felt alone or weak because of His strength.
1- DH. As many of you have said, I may fuss about him, but when it's all said and done, he is wonderful. I love how he tells me that he adores me.
2- DD. She and I butt heads more than anyone else in the family because we are so much alike. With that said she is a beautiful, hard working, amazing 8 year old. She's an amazing person and I can't wait to see what this new year brings for her.
3- DS. My little shadow. He's my sunshine, he keeps me laughing and on my toes. He has the sweetest heart and is so compassionate. As he says- "I love him so wide world!"
4- My parents. My rocks, I am so thankful for them. I am so thankful that they moved 25 minutes away from me (they were 3.5 hours away). I am so thankful that my dad's skin cancer seems to have been taken care of.
5- My SIL, Liz. She understands me! She's on DH's side of the family and she gets my frustrations with them, she usually has the same frustrations! And she's a great friend, we can talk on the phone for hours- just ask DD, she keeps track!
6- My DIS buddies!!! OMG, I so couldn't get through the day without y'all!!! I think we need to pick a place in the country and all move there- instant friends, we wouldn't have to bother with any of the people that drive us crazy!
7- DH's job! I am so thankful that he has a job that he loves and a boss that appreciates him!

I could go on and on and on! There is just so much positive in my life right now after going through so much crazyiness. I am grateful for the crazyiness because it makes me stronger and more grateful for the calm!

Reading everyone's responses to this question has really brightened my day!

I am thankful for:
- My DH. He loves me unconditionally, he makes me laugh, he takes care of me in every way. I love him beyond words.
- My oldest niece. I love her so much. She is the most special girl in the world to me.
- Our Adoption Home Study is complete. The waiting is rough. We are really looking forward to becoming parents.
- My family. Losing our parents has brought my brother, SIL, my sister and her kids, a lot closer to me and my DH.
- Our house. We have done so much to it and have more to do but it really feels like "home."
- My friends, including my on-line buddies. It's a great feeling to know there is a person to talk to (in person or typing) who has been there too, understands you, and supports you, and you can give support back to.
- The time I had with my Daddy before he passed. Taking care of Daddy in our home was at once the best and worst thing I've ever done. The day when I told Daddy, "Cancer s*cks in every way" and he said to me, "Not every way, I get to spend all this time with you" - that made it all worth it. I miss my Daddy. I miss my Mom too.

I am thankful for everyday I get to spend with my family. I am greatful for each day I wake up.

I am thankful for:

  • My DH - He is the essence of what every husband should be, even when he gets on my nerves. LOL
  • My kids - even though I do complain, a lot, I love them all. Even though we never planned to have 4 kids I wouldn't trade them for the world.
  • My family- especially my mom. She is my rock when DH is gone. There are days when I don't know what I would do without them.
  • My BFF PrincessNancy96 -Who knew you could have a BFF that you've never laid eyes on before. She's my other half, my sounding board, my sanity check.
  • MY CMC and my hometown BFF, Miss Lisa. For whom I would have never met if it weren't for the DIS. She loves me even though I drive her crazy at 2 am.
  • My DIS friends - never had girlfriends growing up, it's nice to have y'all in my corner.
  • my health - So far so good.
  • The DIS - If it weren't for this place I would never have met such awesome people!

I'm sure there is other stuff but this tops my list.

My wonderful fiance!!

I am thankful for:

[*] MY CMC and my hometown BFF, Miss Lisa. For whom I would have never met if it weren't for the DIS. She loves me even though I drive her crazy at 2 am.

Awww, see why I am so sad you are moving away from me.  And for the record, you never drive me crazy at 2 am. :)

This year as many years previously I am thankful for our good health. This year all three of us had some severe health concerns, myself with my mammogram scare, DD with her liver problems, and DH with his rotator cuff problems. Fortunately they have been cleared up or on the right the right track.

I am thankful for my Mom. She does soo much for us even though she has been stretched to the max with her husband and his cancer.

I am also thankful for the great friendships I have developed here at DIS. My DIS friends are the bestest!:grouphug:
