Getting to FEA from entrance efficiently?

Is there a strategy I'm missing for getting to FEA efficiently? We will get to the park at rope drop (6 adults, 4 preschoolers, only one stroller at that time of the morning). We move pretty efficiently. We are staying onsite so can also consider an EMH morning.

I'd rather not FP since we may hop to AK or MK in the afternoon and use FP there. I'd rather not go to Akershus for breakfast. OTOH, the kids (and adults!) will be bummed if we have a long wait and then I'll be wishing we had FP+ but it will be too late!

So...without a FP, in looking at the map it seems we'd just head quickly up the center of Future World and turn left for Norway at World Showcase (like 1000s of other early birds). But if there's a hint I'm missing, let me know - thanks!

The hint is to be at the Tapstiles EARLY-by 8:15 AM.

That way you will be at the "front" of the line waiting to get in.

Also,Epcot has been known to open early-you just never know.

Also,Epcot has been known to open early-you just never know.

Like this morning...we were in the park at 8:50 through the international gateway and walking into Soarin' at 9:01, and we don't move efficiently. Folks going to FEA from the main entrance would've gotten there before 9:00.

We attempted this twice on my last trip. Epcot opening was listed at 9:00 am. Day 1 got to the gate around 8:25, Epcot opened at 8:45, by the time we got to FEA it was a 15 minute wait. Second time we got there around 8:40, Epcot opened at 8:50, FEA was a 45 minute wait.

We got onto the second boat by getting to the tapstiles by 8:10. We walked EXTREMELY fast, with DH pushing the stroller. I grabbed the kids out of the stroller and waited just outside the entrance to the line, let him park the stroller, and then all got in line together. Not my favorite thing we've ever done, but it worked.
