Whats the best way to go from MK to DTD??? (we don't have a car)
Any taxi experiences? Where's the best place to catch one from MK and about how much should that cost?
Is there a DTD bus at the Transportaion Center (my mind is blanking on its real name:sad2: )
We will also need to go from poly to DTD one morning...is that bus ride stupidly long, is it better to take a taxi there to?

Ok sorry throwing in a general taxi question.....is $15.00 about what it costs to go from one point to another most of the time within the world? We're staying at WL and if it means another $30.00 a day I would gladly budget that to not deal with buses as much as possible, I deal with that everyday of my life getting to and from school and work, and I'm on vacation!!!!! I especially think we'd want to take one going to TL, AK, DTD, and MGM.

Thanks a million for the info fellow Disers!
:cool1:

There are no taxi stands at the MK park, you will have to either go to one of the resorts, walking to the CR is probably the fastest, or go to the TTC to get a taxi.
There are not buses to DTD at the TTC. The buses to DTD only leave from the resorts. I would expect that the bus ride from the MK resort area will take about 20-30 minutes.
Your average for the cost of the taxi is probably about right, we paid about $12.00. with tip to go from the WL to the YC a few years ago.
It is easy to get a taxi a the resort, the valets can call one for you, and generally there are plenty of taxis leaving the parks, I do not know about TL though because I've never been to the water parks.

Thank you!
I could have sworn there was a DTD bus at TTC, so I'm glad I asked otherwise I would have gotten there and been very annoyed with myself!
I think we will be taking a LOT of taxis! Even if we use 2 a day, getting to the parks early and leaving the parks late, thats at most it sounds like $40.00 a day, which even if I had a license to rent one, is still MUCH CHEAPER than renting a car!

There should be a chart of reported taxi prices....I think I may start one when I get home!

The Mears transportation website does have one, the only thing is of course that any wait time for lights traffic etc is not taken into consideration. It can give you a general idea though. Here is the link:

I would walk or take the monorail to CR and get the bus from there

I took a bus from the TTC to DTD last year. I had read there wasn't one as well. Last year we had a late dinner at Ohana and we waited for a good half hour for a DTD bus at the Poly and none came so we decided to take the monorail to Epcot instead since they had late night hours that evening. Well as we were walking to the monorail we saw a DTD bus pull up to the TTC and got on it instead. So yes, buses do go from TTC to DTD. Maybe it is that busses do not go from DTD to the parks that got me confused last year.

There are NO buses from the TTC to DTD. Guest abuse of the parking at DTD killed that and that was several years ago. There are buses that take you to Studios and DAK and sometimes to FW Settlement / WL.

If you caught one at TTC, it was probably doing another guest a favor and you happened to get lucky.
