Getting to Disney hotels for dinner

Hi, I am staying at the Dolphin hotel. Our last day in Disney is Mothers day and I have scheduled this as a day of rest. We will probably hang out be the pool etc. I have booked the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian and dinner at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary. My question is can I drive from the Dolphin to these restaurants, will they allow me to park? I don't want to have to pay for entrance to the parks to go to these restaurants. Thanks

Yes, you can drive to these resorts.

When you get to the MK parking lot toll booth, stay to the right. Tell the person at the toll booth you have ressies at the GF and he will let you go. Take the road to the right.

At the resort guardhouses, just tell them you have reservations. You will get a 3 hour parking pass.

You wouldn't have to pay for a park entrance if you decided to take bus transportation to the MK first and then bus or monorail to either. Driving would be more convenient but there are other options too if you didn't want to drive.

I vote for driving. It takes quite a long time to get there when you have to connect.

My advice is to park at the Grand Floridian for two reasons: (a)you're beginning your day there; (b) it's a straight drive down World Drive back to the Dolphin. To get to the Contemporary after your tea just take the monorail.

You would not have to pay the parking fee at the toll plaza if you drove.
