Do you think it's possible to get to DHS for rope drop coming from the Cabins at Fort Wilderness via bus? And if not, should we just go in the afternoon? Thanks!

I don't know the answer, but you might want to post on the camping board a little further down. Those people know everything about Fort Wilderness and you might get a better response.

We have stayed in the Cabins (loved them) but didn't do DHS when we were there. I would guess that an Uber/Lyft is your safest bet based on our bus experiences in the past to EP and AK, but we weren't rope dropping.

We were able to get a bus to HS crazy early in the AM on Galaxy's Edge opening day, so you should have no problem getting there for standard rope drop. Note that at FW, you will need to take an internal bus that will drop you off at the main bus station where the park/resort busses pick up, unless you rent a golf cart. We stayed one night without a cart and rented one the next day so we didn't always have to wait for the internal bus.

Wow - that's amazing to hear! We're renting a golf cart for 2 of our 3 days as well so maybe we can shave off some time not needing the internal bus. Do you happen to remember the earliest bus departure for HS from the Depot? Thanks again.

I do not remember earliest bus time. I would ask at the resort when you arrive just to confirm. We were just at Contemporary and busses were running at least an hour before park open. We were never out earlier than that to see.
