I am planning a trip for the middle of June and was wondering if there was any kind of transportation to and from DC or if in order to get there you would have to rent a car. If a rental car is needed, what iss the best place to rent from if staying at the all-star music resort.

I'm confused. I was going to reply thinking that you are planning a trip to District of Columbia and are looking for information from IAD or DCA (I can certainly help with that)

But then you mention the All Stars, so I am assuming that this 'DC' is an abbreviation for something? Maybe someone else knows what that stands for - I am not familiar with anything at WDW with those initials.

When we went to Discovery Cove we had a rental car for that portion of our trip. It just seemed easier. On Disney property there are Alamo rentals at the Car Care Center and the Dolphin

aha! Discovery Cove! yes, I agree that a rental is easiest; from the All Stars I would suggest either Alamo (they will pick you up) at the car care centre, or at the Dolphin (walk from Epcot or MGM, or take a bus from a park)

Taxi fare would run at least $20 each way, I believe. if you price a one day rental and then plan for any grocery runs, or meals at one of the resorts, it will make the one day rental very useful.
