Ok, what's the best way to get there? We have a 8:35am ADR and was wonder if it's possible to park at the TTC, hop on the monorail and get off at CR to get to Chef Mickey's since we plan on heading to MK afterward.

Or do we have to drive to CR, park for the duration of our breakfast then drive back out to the TTC lot to get to MK?

We are staying on the resort but will be using our rental car because we want quick access out of the park and back to resort so our 1 year old can take her naps.

SInce you are a resort guest, you won't have to pay to park at the TTC, so that would be my recommendation. Park there, then hop on the resort monorail. But, remember, it will take up to 30 mins to get to CR, including any wait times, so plan accordingly.
If you choose to park at the CR, you can park there, then move your car to the TTC after breakfast. Or you can pay to valet park and then be able to leave your car there for the day. But you are not supposed to self park there, for a meal, and then head to a park for the day.

Yeah I wasn't sure what time the the monorails started to run. I heard that they start to run at 7am only for monorail resort guest which I wasn't sure what that meant.

Just wanted to make sure that we would be able to hop on the monorail from TTC.

I agree with everything you said.

I know you wish to have your car with you, but anything involving going to MK is usually better served by taking WDW transportation. One way to save a little bit of time is to take a bus to MK, which will drop you off at the bus stops which are already a little of the way between MK and CR. You can then just walk over to CR for the ADR, or walk over to the resort monorail and ride. Much quicker ride, since CR is the first stop on that line from MK. After the ADR you can walk over to MK, or ride the resort monorail around to it.

All the other parks I would drive to, but not MK.

With the time of your ADR, I think the buses would be operating early enough to get you to MK to walk over to CR.

Don't forget should the OP choose to ride the bus to the Magic Kingdom their bus station is already half way to the Contemporary. Now there is nothing wrong with wanting to take the Resort Monorail because as you said the Contemporary is the next stop when leaving the Magic Kingdom. However by the time you wallk over to the Monorail station you could have already arrived at the Contemporary.

Which is why I suggested first that they walk over to CR from the bus stop. ;)

Yeah I wasn't sure what time the the monorails started to run. I heard that they start to run at 7am only for monorail resort guest which I wasn't sure what that meant.

What you probably heard was that the Resort Monorail line starts at 7 a.m., as opposed to the MK Express Monorail whose start time depends upon the MK opening time.

But like all WDW transportation, it's open for everyone to use.

That's probably what I heard. Is the MK Express monorail only going to go to MK and not stop at say CR? Is that how it works?

MK Express only stops at MK and the TTC. It follows the same path as the resorts monorail, but goes in the opposite direction and just rides by the resorts without stopping.

Ok, that makes it clearer.

I agree completely. Last year I drove from Mk to POP while everyone else took the bus back, they beat me by almost 25 minutes.

At ML the buses stop right at the park while your car is still a ferry/monorail and tram ride away.

At the other parks, your car and the bus stops are in much closer proximity
