Getting to Cape May breakfast VERY complicated?

I have made an ADR for Cape May at 8:40. I've read the breakfast is great and we don't want a Princess breakfast. We will be coming from POR. This is beginning to seem like a VERY bad idea... If we bus to Epcot, the bus will take us to the Main Gate, right? And then there is no way over to BC from that area. If we bus to DHS, there also will not be a bus BC, and the walk looks Loooong on the map. Correct?

Is there a way that I am missing or should i just choose another breakfast somewhere else?

We went from POFQ and just took a taxi. It was fairly inexpensive and sooooooo easy!

you could take a bus to DTD and then get on the bus for BC.....or a TTC bus and go there and then transfer over to the BC bus.......if you did go to DHS, then the boat goes right to the front of BC too....you dont have to walk it...

But make sure you leave in plenty of time.....like be at the bus area early enough to make your transfers and busses..

Have fun

You are correct that taking a bus to Epcot will drop you at the main entrance, meaning you would have to enter Epcot and walk all the way through the park and exit at the International Gateway and walk over to the BC. If you chose to bus to DHS, the walk is only about 10-15 minutes, depending on the pace you're walking.....but you can also take a boat from DHS if you don't want to walk :). Another option would be to take a bus to DTD or MK and then grab a bus from there to the BC :confused3. Cape May is probably our favorite place for breakfast......we eat there at least once every trip :goodvibes.

If WS is not open yet, will they still let us walk through WS to exit IG and get to BC? Can you enter WS from Future World even if you are not on an ADR list for Akershus?

Also, I was under the impression that DTD busses did not run to resorts until later in the day?

I am just trying to avoid a long walk with little kids before we even get to the parks.

If your ADR is for 8:40 you will not be allowed in the Front Entrance of Epcot to walk to the Beach Club in time to make your ADR
Your best bet is a cab, it is not that expensive.
Next would be to bus to DHS. The bus leaves you off outside of the park. If the walk is too long, just head to the boat dock and take the boat right to the YC/BC. The boat takes longer than walking, but it is very nice. Plan on 20 minutes on the boat once it leaves. They leave about every 20 minutes, so if you just miss one it woudl be 40 minutes from the time you got to DHS.
YOu will need to leave plenty of time for transportation if you do it this way.
Good Luck

And if you walk through Epcot (roughly a mile from the bus loading area at the front of the park to BC), you'll be using a day on your passes. Meaning, unless you have a park hopper pass, Epcot will be the only park you can enter for the rest of the day.

A cab would get you there in minutes and would be about $15. Busing to DHS and taking the boat would take about an hour.

I don't think DTD buses will be running that early and there are no buses between any of the WDW resorts and the TTC, so don't even consider that.

The best option using Disney transportation will be a bus to DHS and then either walking or taking the boat to BC. I've never had much success with the Epcot-DHS boats early in the morning, however, so I'm not sure that it's a viable option unless you leave lots of time. The walk obviously is always an option, but it is a bit of a hike (20-30 minutes depending on your pace).

I am a big supporter of using Disney transport, but even I would recommend using a cab for most resort-to-resort trips for breakfast.

For an early morning breakfast, I agree that a taxi is the best.

If you want to take Disney transportation:

IF Epcot is having an EMH morning you will be able to enter the park at 8AM and walk through to the BC/YC, but it will require using a day on your ticket and it's a little under a mile walk.

If you take a bus from your resort to DHS, the Friendship boat to the BC/YC dock starts running an hour before the park opens so you can check to see what time DHS opens that morning.

Busses will definitely be running to both parks early every morning because of the Hollywood & Vine and Akershus breakfasts.

I'm sure others have had the same question so I would ask the concierge at your resort what your options for getting to Cape May are.

The easiest way would be to take a cab. It would obviously be the quickest and less stressful. If it were me, however, I would probably take the bus to DHS, and walk the 10-15 minutes walk to BC. I don't have kids though. If I did, and if they were younger, I'd probably go with the cab ride.
