What are the different options for getting to Atlantis...

I don't want to spend the entire day there, just want to see it really, and play some slot machines... think it is worth it?

I think it is worth it. We took a cab over after the early dinner, stayed for a couple of hours in the casino, lost a bunch of money and got a cab back to the ship with what I had left. Great casino and very easy to get to.

HBC

Someone posted on the board that they took a cab and it was about $15 each way.

I think that the rate is four bucks per person one way, plus the dollar toll, but I could be way off.

No, you are exactly spot on, prymsu!

It's $4 +the bridge toll(currently$1) one way to get there, there are TONS of available cabs going both ways. Nice short ride.

Absolutely goregous resort!

If you want to visit the Dig on your own,you can at your own pace. When you get to the casino, go to the middle to a kiosk with a large blue globe over it and you can buy wristbands for $25 each that grant access to the whole Dig (it's a long walk for the whole thing, take your time!). It is a do not miss item! If you want a free teaser, go the main lobby and look at the freebie tank!

My Hubby Won abouy $500.00 at the slot machine at Atlantis:p Of course after Lunch at "ATLAS" restaurant and going shopping we brought about $350.00 back to the ship with us. We are spending the day at Atlantis on our upcoming trip, and renting a room for the day.:D I have some picture's of Atlantis at www.picturetrail.com Where it say's visit album/member's name put Tluvs2talk.

We went over to the casino first thing in the morning - and of course no one was there. It was quite peaceful, beautiful, but I missed the normal hustle of a casino. Next time I think I'll go over later in the day. It is a beautiful place, and the Dig is interesting once. I won't do that part again. It's big, and the mild theming of the viewing areas is entertaining, but the actual aquaria and fish are not on a par with the good public aquaria in the US (Baltimore, New Jersey, Monterey, etc.)

Atlantis is suppose to be the largest aquarium in the world, with more species of fish than anywhere. The little bit we saw was awesome!!!!:D

We probably aren't too interested in the dig, is there any cost for just doing the casino? I read somewhere that they charged to walk the grounds...

how much do you have to pay just to get a "feel" for the place...
If it's too much the we might just skip it and do Rain Forest at the spa that day instead...
