Getting to an early morning ADR?

On the morning of my daughter's birthday we have an EARLY dining reservation at Chef Mickey's. We are staying at BWV...any idea how to use Disney transport to get there? We had a problem last time we were at the world staying in FW with an early reservation at O'hanas...and a resort bus driver was SUPER nice and drove us over there.

I would check with the Concierge at your resort when you check in.

Definitely check with concierge. A lot will depend on what time transportation starts compared to your ADR. You might consider taking a taxi if necessary to make sure you get there with plenty of time (if Disney transportation is not available they might be able to give you a voucher as well)

When we were staying in FW in November (pre-DVC of course) I called the front desk to ask them how to get to our early O'Hana reservation...and they gave me bad info about a "reservation bus" that would supposedly take us and never showed up! Hence the ride over by our super-friendly resort bus driver. So I'm not sure I trust the concierge!!

What time does the MK open that morning and is there morning EMH at MK that day? Disney transportation will be running to MK at least 1 hour prior to parking opening.

I just called the ADR line and the CM said there is a "Character Breakfast Bus" that comes around for early dining reservations before the parks open...this is similar to the "reservation bus" that FW told me about that never showed in November (and that bus driver had never even HEARD of anything like this).

Has anyone ever actually ridden on this bus to confirm that it exists?

Never heard of that. What we did for 715 reservations at Chef Mickey's was have Bell Services call a taxi for us. They did offer to drive us over themselves but there wasnt enough room for all of us, so we just waited for the taxi.

i think I've seen a bus with a character bkfst on the sign.
Fortunately, the earliest I had a CM adr (its vacation, why wake up early) I took the MK bus then walked to the monorail, then saw part of the the MK opening ceremony from the monorail.

LOL, we were told about this bus too. We ended up having to take a cab from Beach Club to CR for our breakfast ADR there. We waited a long time for the mystery bus but when time got short, we decided if we really wanted to eat there, it was going to be a cab ride.

Why do they make it so hard to get to your early morning reservations?! I think we will go to the front, ask about the bus...and if they give me a funny look just ask them to call us a cab. Thanks guys for your help!!

This is going to be our first trip "home" and I'm getting really excited!!

On our last trip(staying at VWL) we had an 11:00 a.m. ADR for Boma so we took the launch to MK to pick up the AKL bus. It took FOREVER to come and when it finally did, went to Kidani first and then to Jambo House and we were 15 minutes late for our ADR. Oh, I forgot to mention that we left our resort at 9:30! We were so stressed that we decided this year(staying at BWV), we would open our wallet and take a taxi to our Boma ADR.

I am thinking we will end up cabbing it. But you would think they would know lots of resort guests have little kids, who get up early, and like to eat with Mickey and would make it easier for us to get there! Only transportation complaint really.

I don't know how early your reservation is but the buses to MK start between 6 and 6:30 am every day. There are a variety of breakfasts and tours in the area and so the buses start that early. I would be at the bus stop at least an hour before your adr (if you miss one of these buses it is another 20 minutes before the next one comes) and then take the bus to mk and walk over to the contemporary (the monorail doesn't always start before 7:30am (I know this from taking tours and sometimes having latecomers due to the monorails not starting before the tour).

Thanks for this! Our ADR is for 7:10. You think there will be a 6am MK bus? I thought busses to the parks didn't start until one hour before they opened.
