We have all our ADRs sorted for August now :)

Obviously we will try to be in the right place at the right time but what happens if you turn up for your meal before or after your time ? getting there might take longer than we thought or we might be in a queue or we might be ready to eat a little earlier. Is 30 mins either side ok or will they turn us away ?

Thanks

This is all Disney say, nothing about being late.
General Information
Plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to your reservation time. You will be seated at the first available table for your party size

We arrived 10-20 mins early for every meal last year, got seated early at some, most on time a couple late (worst 1900 Park Fare, about 45 mins)
I guess they will try get you in if you turn up late but if they are fully booked and running late they reserve the right to cancel your reservation.

We arrived about 15 mins early for all of ours and were always seated by our ADR time. We didn't have any hugely popular meals though (e.g like Wayne's 1900pf experience :scared1:)

Definitely allow 15 mins.

The whole point of the Disney system is that you don't have a fixed reservation. You'll be assigned the next free table for your party size after you check in (but after any other party of the same size with the same or earlier ADR time which has checked in ahead of you). This is the way Disney handles the no-shows inevitable with an operation on this scale. So, they won't hold an empty table for you if you're late, but, within reason, they won't turn you away either.
