Getting thrown up on on FJ and a few other trip details! :)

When we rode FJ 3 weeks ago I was VERY VERY close to being the one who puked on my neighbor (thankfully it was DH on one side and DM on the other). I was so sick at the end of the ride that I nearly collapsed at the exit, next to a lady yacking in a garbage can. Then the fam dragged me on Dragon Challenge and that did me in. had to sit on a bench, white as a sheet, sweating bullets and shaking like a leaf for a good 1/2 hour.

See now, that's the kind of fun I don't want to have! I think I'll let the kids go on first and I'll do the castle tour. If they say it's fine, then I'll try it single rider line. Dragon Challenge and any other monster coaster is a no go for me too.
I'll go on Rock N Rollercoaster only because it's dark and I can't see it.

I can ride ANYTHING as long as i use a transdermal-scop patch prescribed by my doctor. but like an idiot, I followed the advice of someone on the DIS and didn't use the patch. Instead I tried sea-bands, ginger pills and motion ease. I was sick as a dog and couldn't ride anything more exciting than Spiderman that day. That very night I put my patch on and the next day rode everything at USO and ata WDW over the weekend with not a single issue. So stupid of me...shoulda had the patch on from day one!

When we were there last month my husband and I went through the single rider line three times, then when we got to the top aksed for the modified seating. All three times we were in the same bench, but sitting on opposite ends in the modified end seats.




I think I know the area you are talking about: right after you see Hagrid, then immediately after you see the dragon for the first time, where you sort of go up then drop down? I don't get sick at all, but do sort of lose my stomach (just an uncomfortable feeling). My husband who has never gotten sick on a ride says the very first part where you go through the chimney's using the floo network got him every time.

That's the part that always got me too. I never get sick on rides like your husband, but my stomach really feels it in that part. After that I'm back to normal laughing enjoying the ride.

I love Harry Potter. If I use the single rider line, will I still see the castle?

I really want to see the castle tour, but I might not even want to go on the ride. (Not sure I have the stomach for it.) When someone says the line is 60 minutes long, how much of that is actually the castle tour?

There is a special line if you just want to do the castle tour. Ask before you enter the castle.

You won't see the castle if you do the single rider line.

There is just one area that bothers me on FJ. It's in the castle and you kind of swoop up and down. I hang on and close my eyes and it passes.

Great advice. I don't get queasy on hulk or dragon challenge but had to close my eyes for a few seconds during certain scenes.
Totally worth it though.
