Getting through security at the airport - what is involved??

All airlines are prepared to help their passengers. Ask for their help, after all you've paid for their services. Also, give yourself LOTS of time to negotiate the airport. I agree with the easy on off shoes (especially for the kids) and using either curbside check in or a baggage porter.
