Getting the Most of Basic Dining Plan?

Hello. We are leaving in a couple of days for our first trip. I've never been before, but we did get the basic dining plan for our trip. We have our ADRs and I was wondering, can you pick which dinners you put on the plan?

Here is my example
Sat - Dinner @ CP
Sun - BF @ TH, DN @ CM
Mon- BF @ CP, DN @ WCC
Tue - BF @ CM

I would like to use the dining plan for the dinners, and not the breakfasts that I have scheduled. I was wondering if I can choose to do this, or if they actually make you use your plan all up (Sat DN, Sun BF, Sun DN) and the pay out of pocket for the rest? I would definately save more by putting the dinners on the dining plan.

Yes, you can. The CM will ask you if you are on the DDP usually before taking your order. Simply tell the CM that yes you are, but you are not using it for "this" meal.

One more thing...

I want to use WCC as one of our DDP meals. I know we will want appetizers and DS will probably want a shake, which means those won't be covered. Can we use the DDP to cover what it does, and then pay out of pocket for the other items?

Yes! Apps and alcoholic beverages etc. will be paid out of pocket. Anything that applys to the dining plan will be covered.

Yes, You can use the plan to cover "allowed" parts of the meal and then pay cash, credit or room charge for the remainder.
Make sure to ask about the shake, some people have been allowed them on the DDP at WCC...check before you order
