I bought myself a copy of the Delicious Disney cookbook a couple of weeks ago and read a tip on Allears that suggested eating at each restaurant with a recipe in the book and having the chef sign the page with that recipe. I would LOVE to do this, but I'm afraid I'd be too shy to ask...has anybody else done this? Any opinions??

What a wonderful idea!

The chefs are usually very accessible at the WDW restaurants. They will come out and visit any table that has a special dietary need. I would think they'd be flattered with a request for an autograph. :goodvibes

What a wonderful idea. I got "Cooking With Mickey & The Disney Chefs" from the shop at the Contemporary Resort. It has some awesome recipes - even Tonga Toast and the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - I love it.

This is probably one of the best ideas I've heard on this site! I think it is a great idea and I'm sure the chef's would be thrilled for the opportunity.

I haven't asked for an autograph (but love the idea). I did find the entire kitchen staff at Narcoosee's very pleasant. We had an exceptionally long wait (almost 2 hours for our ADR) During that time we had a nice conversation with several of the staff, and every time they set down a new dish they would tell us about it, gave us their recomendations. Its made the time pass quickly.
