Getting something delivered to our resort without a room number yet

We've booked our vacation for my sister's birthday, I was wondering how you get something delivered to your room if you make an order but don't know your room number yet? Do you just give them your name and they leave it at the front desk of the resort and they call/deliver it?
We will be getting a cake delivered, which is left in the food court, which is fine and then also a bouqet from the disney florist and was wondering how that exactly worked when you place an order, do they need your room number?
We will be at the resort for 5 days and her bday is the fourth day, so if they need our room number, I could possibly order it the first day we get there. Unless they just need your name and resort.

Most delivery services just ask for your name, your check-in date, the resort (and the resort's address). The front desk/concierge will keep the package for up to a few weeks (so I've heard) before your check-in date.

Ok thanks. I'm guessing thats what the florist does as I've heard the CM's deliever those to your room. Since they don't i'm sure they don't need your actual room number. Thanks.

Exactly. You can either have it delivered or you can pick it up yourself at concierge. I think you can have that pre-arranged once you check in.

we had a few items we ordered from the US delivered to our resort (rather than pay them to ship to Canada ($$) and also the brokerage and duty fees ($$$) when we would just turn around and bring it back to the US.

We just used Our name C/O the resort name and address, and when we checked in they had a note from concierge all ready that said we had a package waiting.

very simple.

I'd assume to they would only need your name and resort as well, especially the florist as i've seen others who have ordered from them have said the CM's alot of times will leave them in your room, and not the actual person from the florist.
