You can sit anywhere in the boat except for row 5 and 6 last person in.
The barrel dumps on the right hand side and is aimed for row 5 if you are at the end of of row 6 you might get wet too, but mostly the only person getting wet is the poor row 5 person.

Avoid rows 5-7 on the far righthand side. Depending on how the boat stops, row 7 can also get hit.

sit in the middle of the boat....if you want to ask for the front, just do it....the TMs can be accomodating if it's not too busy!
