Getting slightly worried

Have just read on one of the boards that Fabian - upgraded from tropical storm to fully fledged hurricaine - is due to hit the east coast of Florida sometime during the 2nd week of September. Oh heck - DH and I are flying out on the 11th - has anyone ever been delayed for something like this?
