how hard is it to get back and forth from the disney parks to all star sports? and what is the transportation like from disney to universal and sea world?
we're both 21 so car rental will be more expensive but we're not sure whether to just pay the extra cost and save the hassle of having to get buses everywhere. :confused3

Getting to and from all the disney parks is fine as there are buses that run to them all. They usually come about every 15 mins.

Getting to sea world you can get a bus from the tansportation and ticket centre. The lynx buses run often and are really cheap. They stop at sea world and then to get to US you can go on the I ride bus. This is quite time consuming though.

A taxi to sea world is about $25-30 and is a lot quicker.

We use the Mears shuttle for Universal and Sea World. You call the night before you want to go by dialing 0 on your Disney resort telefone, ask to be connected to the Mears Shuttle. Once we got Mears taxi instead and were quoted 60 dollars, which is more a town car price so that must have been an mistake. Anyway, the shuttle is either 16 or maybe 18 dollars per person round trip and they pick you up at your resort in a large bus. To return you are asked to to either decide when you book when you would like to return or you may also call 1 hour beforehand. It really is worth it to either use Mears or get a taxi so that you can get to the parks quickly. We once took the Linx bus to Sea World and that just ate up a lot of our morning when we could have been feeding the dolphins instead ::yes::.

Have fun :thumbsup2 !

We just used normal taxis - but we stayed at Pop so its a bit closer and cheaper! I just couldnt be that organised to use the bus or a mears shuttle!

Bus is $2 each way and picks up either at the TTC or Downtown Disney.

I rented a car when I was 21, we just made sure we got the top insurnace that nomally includes a driver under 25

Getting to and from Disney parks won't be a problem from Sports. We did this last April and never had a single problem, longest we waited in queue to get on bus was about 15 minutes.

To get to and from Universal and Seaworld, we used Mears transportation. It was $16 each for a round trip. We basically asked the concierge to phone Mears for us and they asked for a time we'd like to be picked up and to which park we wanted to go to and they arranged it for us. We then just waited at the front of check-in until the bus arrived, paid the shuttle driver (who'll then give you a green ticket stating you've paid) and hopped on for the ride.

The shuttle drivers were usually really good and give a little talk about your surroundings whilst travelling to your park destination too, which are quite funny at times and very informative.

Once there, you can stay as long as you like and then just call up the number from the green card approx. an hour before you want to return to Sports. Mears will then give you the time that the next shuttle is due to depart and just make sure you're back at the drop off point to be collected.

Really simple and easy to use :thumbsup2

how long did it take? the bus schedule (see link below) says it only takes 37mins from TTC http://www.golynx.com/assets/userfiles/routemaps/50.pdf
we were planning on using the bus for our trip in sept....now i'm not so sure

Maybe it took an hour and a half, probably not much longer? We probably didn't get the earliest start and I think we arrived around 11am which I felt was quite late plus we wasted time at the Linx ticket counter getting a schedule or maybe asking a question and when you get to Sea World you have to walk through the parking lot although it's not that massive really. Get an early start and you should be alright with Sea World :thumbsup2 . Although we usually get the Mears shuttle just after 8am and after a few Disney days earlier than that would just kill me, but I'm old so you two will probably be just fine :goodvibes .
