Getting Rid Of Red-Eye In Pictures

Just picked up pics from DD's homecoming and the pic that she wants to enlarge for her boyfriend has some seriously bad red-eye.

How can we fix it? Anyone have any solutions?

if you get them inlarged at one of those kodak stations @ walmart or kmart they might have something there that does that for you, if you get it inlarged @ a photo shop, they should definately have something. Your best bet is to ask the person where ever you go. good luck

Before you do something irreversible like those red-eye pens, I would at least try and scan it and use a Adobe Photoshop to try and fix it first. In photoshop you can zoom in to the point the photo is nothing but pixels...you then take the "medicine dropper" tool in PS and "pickup" the correct color from the non-red-eye portion, then switch tools to the paint brush and start coloring...alternate different colors and stay away from the color palette...use only the photos colors and the dropper. The Kodak Image stations should have something too that fixes it.

Thanks so much! I work at a High School and I just asked the photo teacher if she could do something with it. She said she'll scan it and take care of it . . .she's even going to make me the 8x10.

I hope DH gets me digital camera for xmas so I could do things myself . . .

even without a digital camera you can do things yourself, just find a place that will put your pics on a disk or cd when you have them printed..I've been doing that for years..I still want to get a really good digital for the convenience of previewing pics as I take them and being able to upload to my pc instantly, but until then,,35mm works just fine...

any decent photo lab can remove red eye ( I really HATED doing it) and the Kodak Picture maker can do it also.
