I am trying to get our stuff ready for our Thanksgiving trip (Nov. 21-Dec 1). I am not sure what type of clothes to pack??? Any advice?? I was thinking of Jeans and t-shirts with each a light jacket... Should I bring 4 yr old daughter's favorite princess costume? I want to pack as light as possible, being that we will have a washer/dryer in our 2 bedroom at SSR. We are so excited!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:  :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Light? It's Disney, be prepared for the unexpected. 15 or 20 suitcases and a Walmart bag or two should do the trick:thumbsup2

OK, seriously, that time of year take a heavy "Aspen vacation" coat, and something light such as short sleeves. Jeans should work great for the washer. We always pack way more then needed, but I have to say we have never been surprised by not having something.

We go to WDW every Thanksgiving, and the the weather is unpredictable. But for my family of four, we only use a carry on bag for each of us for the 7 nights we stay. The key is using using the washer and dryer; but more importantly are the concepts of light, flexible and layering. Long silk type underwear is great because it will keep you warm without making you sweat, and doesn't take up room in the luggage. Layer on a shirt or 2 with a windbreaker , and hat and gloves if required and we can watch Illuminations on the coldest Orlando nights in comfort, (and we have). Something else to look into if you want to travel light is convertible pants. Zip the legs on or off for shorts or long pants,( Flexible). Pack Smarter!:thumbsup2

And having the washer and dryer is one the things that makes DVC so nice to have. We used to bring way more than we needed, but now we're packing much lighter. We bring 3 to 4 days of daily warm weather clothing, a pair of jeans a pair of slacks, light jacket or sweater, and that's about it. If you DD likes attention.... bring the costume. Oh, and don't forget bathing suits. Have a great trip :)

We're leaving soon as well and although we'll be in a studio I'm afraid we'll have to pack twice as much...cold mornings and evenings, warm during the day. I'm assuming that's how Florida November weather is? And the Aspen vacation jacket, never considered that, and gloves?? We're from Ohio where you have the following seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction!! :lmao: Anyway, we'll be prepared, don't want to pay the souvie shop prices cause we didn't bring what we needed....

Hey fellow Buckeye! I don't usually start thinking about the packing until about 14-10 days out when I can start watching the forecast on Accuweather.com and Weather.com.

I make full use of the W/D in the unit, so we go rather light.

We all have a few pairs of convertable pants(finally found some ladies ones at Eddie Bauer and they were on sale:banana: ). Since we do a lot of winter outdoor activities, I have long underwear for everyone(light weight and works like a charm).

Previous post by me was actually DH(first time he's actually posted on DIS!)

I got to say that I think it all depends on what weather you are used to. We live in Alaska and it was about -20 up here when my DH and I went to WDW during that same time of year. We were wearing shorts and tee shirts when everyone else may have been wearing warmer clothes. Honestly, my main attire was a pair of light cargo pants (for all the pockets, so I did not have to bring a bag and could avoid the bag check lines) or shorts with a tee shirt. I also brought my summer jacket with me in case it got chilly after night fall. But winter in Florida is like May or June in Alaska, so you may be colder than I was.
