Hi everyone - we just came back from our first trip to WDW. I ended up buying a second card for my digital camera but not before I was selective as to the pics - afraid I would run out of space. That said, I still got a lot of good shots and can't wait to put it all together in an album.

I bought a little paper when I was at WDW but wanted to know if I should get more WDW paper and embelleshments or should I just use basic paper. If I go with more WDW where can I find it? I live in Canada but we don't have a scrapbooking store here.

I have my album already.

Also wondering - for inspiration - if there is a site that shows wdw layouts. I need some ideas.

Thanks a bunch.

I did a search on TwoPeas for Disney layouts. Here's a link: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg....ivate_layout=0+and+title+like+'%disney%'&pg=1

As far as paper...do you have a Michaels or AC Moore? Or a Jo-Ann's? I've gotten non-Disney papers there & been happy with them. (Things like animal print for AKL & AK layouts, blue with silver stars for MGM, a bear & pawprints for WL, water or bubbles for water parks & pools, evergreen trees for WL, fireworks for Illuminations/Fantasy in the Sky/etc.....things like that.)

I've often looked at Disney papers on-line, but think many of them are just too "busy" for my tastes. (Although I did just buy a sheet of red & black Mickey icons at a LSS I found yesterday as well as a double set of underwater paper - as in Nemo - that I'll use for the Living Seas pages. ;))

Using or not using Disney paper depends on your style a lot. I've used lots of non-Disney papers in my books. And often a little goes a long way.

Completely depends on your style. I've bought tons of those kits at WDW and haven't used any of it. I use regular paper. The Disney stuff I have used has been the CM stuff...the Mickey and Friends Combo pack, etc... They also have a Pooh pack and now a Princess pack. Mainly I like subtle papers, so I find it hard to use much of what is available at WDW.

Thanks - We do have a Michaels in a town not too far from here. I am pretty sure there is a CM rep in the area I can ask her about stickers.

I tend not to use a lot of pattern paper - mostly because I am not sure how to use it so that page is not all about the paper. I do agree that a little goes a long way.

Thanks so much for your replies.

I don't use much pattern paper either. But I do love the disney papers, so what I do is split a sheet of it in 4 pieces, either torn or cut with a fancy edge or plain, and use the piece as a border on the side or top of the page made of plain paper. My paper choice is often the background color of the disney paper. Then I use either computer generated, hand cut letters or die cut letters for the title, applying it to the border.

My last album (cruise) I used black background paper, disney patterned paper mostly (reds and yellows) for the borders, and bold yellow lettering. That way, the album looked cohesive, although the pages themselves were very different.

That is a good idea and the paper will last a little longer.

I just posted (on the attractions board) if anyone knows of images online that I can "borrow" to add to my layouts. Some of the rides have good stuff inside but I either didn't go on the ride with the kids or my camera didn't get good pics. An example is Splash mountain - I didn't go on the ride but the kids liked all they saw as they went around.

Thanks again for your help.
