Getting ready to see the MOUSE!!!

In fact, today I put on pants that were 2 sizes smaller than on 7/13 :woohoo:.

You know I'm jealous here because even after losing 45lbs I'm still only 1size pants smaller. My butt and thighs wont shrink...LOL

I've mentioned in a PP about how I don't weigh in, just go by how my clothes feel and look.

I was babysitting for a friend last night and hopped on her scale... I've lost 10 lbs. since summer! Yay!

Now I will probably obsess over this for a bit and really dig my heels in. I tried working out last week but my heel spur flared up. Grr! I think I'm going to start swimming/water aerobics.

I hate knowing where I am because I focus on that stupid number too much. I'm just proud of myself for eating better and not allowing myself to snack in the evenings (soooooo bad about that).

Ok, so our next trip to see Mickey and his pals is just over 4mths away. This will be my 2nd ever time, and hopefully it will turn out better than the first. The first trip had magical moments, but suffering with sickness the whole time prevented it from being even more magical. Hindsight says that this 60 pounds of extra wieght I have been carrying played a part in that also. So I am determined to lose what I can. I have been having quick success, and was weighing myself every day. I found out this is a big no no.. so tomorrow is wiegh in day and I'm super excited because I've been excersising and eating so well. So I can't wait to update my ticker to show the progress! I originally wanted to drop all 60 by then but decided to set a more reasonable goal. Since I already have 5 pounds behind me, I was thinking another 40 by then. Does this seem reasonable or maybe to high of a goal for this time frame? I had tried to join in other weight loss threads but the pages were massive and I haven't gotten any real responses. I would love to know if anyone is going in this time frame Dec 7-15th, is playing the wieght loss game with me, or just any thing Disney related. Is that too random? LOL, sorry. I'm not a veteran of the boards. Hope to hear from ya1

OMG - I'm coming in a bit late, but you sound just like me!!!! I started that Losing Weight for Mickey thread on here before our last trip because I didn't want to be a wide is Mickey, and all red and sweaty walking around the World. Well that was 1/1/08 and as of right now, I'm 90lbs lighter!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

I'm 100% with you on the scale strike. I HATE the scale - its never your friend. When I was just starting out, I LOVED the scale - it always did me well, but I was HUGE, so I lost quickly. Now that I'm smaller, the weight just isn't coming off as fast as it used to, and its incredibly frustrating.

I run every single morning, as well as some nights. Some days I eat under my points (I'm on the WW program, though I never signed up or anything), some days I eat over my points - it just never seems to make a difference - I'm just staying the same, or losing very very slowly. What it is, weather your losing weight or now, with the diet and exercise your a healthier person no matter what. Keep it up!!!!

FYI - www.fatsecret.com is a great website to chat with people going through the same weight loss strugles as you, and to track your calorie intake and output!

90 pounds! That is inspiring, I am teetering on giving up, but don't want to be big anymore. Its such a struggle.. The past few days haven't been good. Can I rally back?

Okay DONT GIVE UP. I just on a whim decided (after reading this thread again) to try on some jeans I've had in a box for 4.5YEARS. One pair fits and one pair doesnt....both size 11. One is a juniors and we know that juniors dont really have big thighs, but the misses do...and those are the ones that fit. I've went from a size 18 to a size 11 misses in one year...YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I'm so down right now, I feel huge and chunky and miserable! I think I may start going to the gym soon, but I hear its mostly diet that helps in wieght loss, even more so than excercise is this true? Or does there need to be a balance of the two?

Diet helps a lot, but exercise is needed too. You will look saggy (trust me on this one) in parts if you don't tone. Plus 20min of cardio 3x a week will burn it off faster too. That doesn't have to be running. That can be using an elliptical, dancing (I do this when I'm cleaning house), walking fast, roller skating, biking, even going up and down stairs a ton. Also toning at home is easy. You can get some 2.5lb weights for each hand and do arm toning exercises, pushups too. For legs and butt there are things all over the internet that you can do at home. The tummy is a bit harder FOR ME to tone (but that is because I lost a lot of weight after delivery and have a "mommy tummy" w/ excess skin...a lot of it). But, just sucking in your tummy for about 30 seconds a lot during the day will help. You arent just working on getting smaller...you are working on getting HEALTHIER. It takes a lot of time to lose weight. If you do it fast you could end up just reversing the effects later. Its not a diet, but a lifestyle change. To keep looking great you have to make that your way of life. I'm far from great, but I'm going to keep going till I get there.

Dont give up. Take 30min a day at least and do some toning and you will work toward a better you.

Perfectly said!!!! :thumbsup2

Keep pushing! You can do it. You may very well be in a plateau, which may mean you need to change something up to get your loss started again.

Are there any Zumba classes in your area? I LOVE this type of class. It's a dance workout and it's so distracting, you don't know you're working that hard.
I know it's hard to get out and about once you've got little ones. Are there any paths you can take the kids on a walk? A local park to stroll through? Anything? Just keep moving, especially on your non-gym days. A little walk through the neighborhood is better than nothing at all.

Try to stay positive. If it were fun, we'd all look like skinny models!

Ok so I'm wieghing in tomorrow.. I pretty much figure I'll be at starting weight since the past couple of weeks haven't been great, but hopefully I haven't gained it all back. So tomorrow is another new beginning, we are starting going to the gym tomorrow. So we'll see what happens now, I feel like I've wasted that time but I have about 3 1/2 months to go so I think I can still seem some good results.

I am happy to report at wiegh in I had only gained one pound of the ten I had lost back.. so not too bad. I had hoped to get to the gym this week but we have our niece, and she isn't on the family plan so we aren't going to be able to do that this week. So this week is going to be more about controlling my diet. I'm feeling ok again. YaY! So the month has not been wasted. 9 pounds down, 26 to go.

I don't know if anyone is with me anymore, but.. allrighty.. had a family picnic yesterday, ate way too much. Doing ok today but I made some so delicious meat loaf with a ground beef/turkey burger blend..mmmmm. With tomatoes from my mom's garden. So back to the wieght loss issues. Tomorrow will be our first day at the gym, I know we will make it for sure because we don't have our darling little niece anymore. (couldn't take her because she wasn't on our plan) So with ten pounds down and 25 to go and about 3 months to do it, I'm still in this.

i'm still here. I'm wanting another 10lbs in 1.5m, but will settle for 10lbs in 72days if thats what I have to settle for.

So I went on Thursday to buy all the veggies and things for my diet this week, and its really helping I am now under the 200 mark, which didn't seem like it was ever going to happen. 198.5 this morning, I was stuck at 201 for about 2 weeks. So I guess its looking up. Plus taking walks, cleaning the house, and cooking are burning the calories (lots of chopping for every meal, arms are even sore). Ha ha.

Great job!

I've found myself in a motivation slump. I was eating soooo good for the longest time, but one week off my thyroid medicine and EVERYTHING went south so fast, especially my diet. Now that I'm back on it (thanks to the dr. for taking FOREVER...) I'm a lot more conscious about my decisions.

Keep it up!

So I weighed in today and I was 162. So I am 3lbs down!!! Total weight loss is 48lbs. I had gained 3lbs from snacking early in the week and lost it after I got a tummy bug. I guess that is good. Deff going to work on keeping it off. I also bought a new pair of jeans that are 3sizes smaller than when DH left 11m ago so YAY!!!

Yay for everyone doing thier thing. I guess it doesn't matter if we have minor set backs if we just keep going. Thanks girls!

So the veggies thing went really well and in less than a week I lost 6 pounds but the festivities of yesterday brought me up a couple but who's complaining thats still 4 pounds in like 5 days. I am super excited and am really planning on sticking hard core to the Vegan diet for as long as it take for me to get thinner. Went to the gym today and did pool excercise for about 40 mins. 89 days to go...

Way to go everyone!!!!

I've been munching lately... I swear Panera Cinnamon Crunch Bagels and Dunkin Donuts Toffee Coffee Donuts will be the death of me! Anywho, I am down 10lbs and went from a tight 14 to a nice fitting 12 from when I started a month ago now so I am really happy. Another 10 is my goal, but in my head I want more than that but I need to aim for little bits at a time (and avoid Panara and D&D but I am PMS-ing BAD!). Just need to get through this week without any gain and then keep chugging along...

I'm up 3lbs again, but I've been so stressed w/ a lot of stuff too. I've been stress eating.
