Hola from the Coronado Springs Resort!
We were here from 12/8 to 12/15 (still here actually, but have to head back to RL)

Sat 12/8 Peppers Market, CSR. We got in Saturday AM, got in our room and headed to see some of WDW, when we got back we decided to check out Peppers Market here at the hotel. Wife got the Chicken Quesadillas and I got a Burger and Fries. Wife really liked the Chicken Queses, and I thought the burger was good and the fries were the big ole steak fries and very tasty. Nothing to get overly excited about, but a good all around meal.

Sun 12/9 Boma Breakfast. Loved the omelete, made special to order for you, very tasty and cooked just right. The french toast, thumbs up also. Traditional breakfast stuff, none bad, all good, just a good all around meal.

HoopDeeDoo 2nd show of the night. We were at able 21, 2nd table off of the left side of the stage when looking at it. (Opposite from piano). What can I say about this. I loved it. Yes, it's messy ribs, chicken in a bucket, really good corn bread, real smashed taters, beans (if you like beans) and salad. PLUS, booze is included. We didnt partake of much of the booze as wel just really arent big booze drinkers. But the good ole fashioned food we thought was very, very good. It's amazing how basically a 2 hour show can seem to be over SOOOO fast!! I loved it, it was corney, hokey, silly, and sometimes even stupid! It was GREAT. If you are going here and are a stuffed shirt, or just cant let your hair down, this place, like some other places in WDW, may not be for you, but we were very happy with it!

Mon 12/10 Sci-Fi We had the burgers and fries and milk shakes. Was tasty all the way around, didnt try anything else. Our waitress was very nice, as where the folks at the table next to us (we asked for one of the 'limos' as my wife and I are pooh sized and really didnt want to be squished in the normal cars) Downside to that is you arent looking at the screen, so I didnt get to watch much of it. Did get shown one of the hidden mickeys there (our first of the trip!, and was told that the other one in the sky was burnt out lol) Nothing bad, nothing great about the meal, just a meal.

Tues 12/11 Liberty Tree Tavern. I had the turkey / dressing / taters. We got the fried cheese sticks for appetizer, love them as they werent overly greasy. Didnt have hot oil squirting out the ends of the cheese :). Liked my lunch a lot, dont remember what the Mrs. had off the top of my head, and I'm not going to wake her up to ask her :).
Crysta Palace By far our most disappointing meal of the trip. They seemed to just take the spices and flavoring a bit too far for us. I thought the taters were way too garlic-ey and the herbs on the turkey just seemed to kill the taste of the turkey. Dunno, wasnt impressed with this at ALL. But we had a really nice family sitting next to us again, so we had fun.

Wed 12/12 Cinderella Royal Table - What else can you say, it was breakfast in the castle. Our picture came out GREAT so IMO, an 8x10 of the castle and
Cinderella with us, plus the 5x7's pretty much that right there was worth the price of admission! Plus watching all the little princesses meet the real ones. :cloud9:  Just something magical about it. Ok, this is supposed to be talking about food! I'll admit, there is nothing to get excited about here. I did like the ?stuffed french toast? or whatever is filled with something there. The bacon wasnt the best, the eggs were ok. Again, if you are going for a gourmet breakfast, or are expecting something magical, dont, you will be disappointed, but if you go for the atmosphere and the other 'magic' that happens right in front of you, I think you'll really enjoy it.
Chef Mickeys - A fun time, great atmosphere, but again, nothing really special about the buffet. The mashed potatoes were great I'll say that, but everything else I had was underwhelming. It would make it worth it IMO if they did some picture like CRT does, but then the price would go up also.. Wont do it again, unless we are with kids who havent done it, or really like it.
Thurs 12/13 Coral Reef - Good meal, I had the NY strip, my wife had the Salmon. Was very good, above average from what I usually have, we did get the dessert that had the bailey's and jack daniels in the name, and it was very tastey to me, the Mrs. really didnt care for it. A much smaller place then I was expecting also. The tank was nice, the big ole turtle sitting there with that 'hey feed me some of that!' look was great.

Rose and Crown - OK, didnt actually eat here. Had ressies, and had timed it to try to get a water side table. We were chilling out in the area next to it that's open seating. Well, just before our seating time, 3 tables opened up on the water, they came thru and bussed them, and then our pager went off. YES!! or so I thought. They start to take us to our table, and I ask if it's water side, they say no it's not. I say, I see there are some out there, they say that our table is inside, that they dont have the staff to cover those tables right now. I KNOW that requests are promised, I also understand that 'our' table probably was cleaned off before the outdoor ones, which means that should've been the one that was assigned to us, BUT if you have an opening, and someone has requested it, you normally try to get it too them. Well, at that point, we just cancel the ressies and decided to just sit in the 'free' part and watch the fireworks. The NEXT table that gets set, a group of 4 (we had 3 now, a friend of mine had come this day to meet up) gets shown under the ropes to ONE OF THOSE TABLES!!! I was livid, this was about a 3 minute difference. So while I know what they say about requests and blah blah blah, IMO, this was total BS.. I had planned this at my 180 day mark, I am pretty sure that no one beat me to this request. That they could'nt seat us where we had requested WHEN THE TABLE WAS CLEAR, I just dont get it. All I hope is that the weather wind pattern changes and the smoke from illuminations blows directly over the Rose and Crown for the next 5 years.
Friday 12/14
Le Cellier - The last full day of our trip :sad2: I had been looking forward to this night for a long time. I had made an ADR for LC at 180 days, then the Candlelight Processional came out, and I changed to get the package. (wish they wouldnt make it look like the 'tiers' of CP packages made you think you got better seats or whatever with the more you spent, doesnt work that way). So I went in with thinking this was going to be the 'best night of the trip...

Well.....

I was RIGHT. LC as I stated in another thread somewhere, to ME was probably the 2nd best meal I've ever had. I had the cheese soup, the BBQ filet and the apple spiced crumb thing. The soups was great, the pretzel bread, I dont know if they make it themselves or buy it in a box, I dont care, it tasted GREAT, the steak was perfect. Only the 2nd steak I've ever had that I didnt feel it needed a sauce of some sort go with it. (Granted, it was a BBQ steak, so it still had some of that on it). The Mrs got the shrimp cocktail, the shroom filtet, and the chocolate moose :). She also felt that this was a GREAT meal, and although pricey, well worth it. Let's put it this way. If I wouldve known that it was going to be this good, I would've gotten the dining plan, and just made a standing dinner reservation for LC every night :) I can not put into words how much I loved this meal.

So, there you have it, my thoughts on some of the dining that I ran into while at WDW.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the reviews. That's too bad about the Rose and Crown situation. Seems quite rude. I hear so many great reviews about Le Cellier, I might have to change my mind. Hope you do a trip report when you get home! :thumbsup2

Thanks for writing dining reviews. :thumbsup2

We really like the Crystal Palace for breakfast. I considered lunch or dinner for our next trip, but decided to stick with what I know we like. Sounds like I made the right decision ;)

We were at the same Hoop Dee Doo Revue show!! I agree how it was over way to quick!!!
