Getting Qualified and Disneyfied! March 2015 PTR

How have I never heard of the wine walk?! I MUST DO THIS!!

Um, YES! It was amazing! I loved the Walk and I seriously tell EVERYONE about it! It was like my own personal food and wine tour! :dance3: I think it's a hidden gem and very much worth your time and money to do it.

Merry Christmas! I hope that you all have had a wonderful time with your families! I'm enjoying the peace and quiet before we hit the road to start traveling to see our relatives 10 hours away.

We had a great Christmas with funny tales of the wise men from my 3 year old- let me tell you. LOL She picks up each of the pieces of the Nativity and tells us the story although, she gets Joseph and the random shepherd confused a bit, over all it's okay. But when she gets to the Wise Men, she says that they brought Jesus a House, Candy and a Treasure Chest. I love how their minds work out the concepts of such big ideas like that! :good vibes

So, I keep overthinking our dining reservations! I mean, it's a Disney trip, right? I can't just let it go with my first plan.

The problem is that I have been doing some research for writing some articles and I'm wanting to try the new Trattoria al Forna. Reading about the exciting back story that they have created and such, it just makes me want to check it out in person. Of course, I have no idea how I could work this into our current plans, but I WANT to!!!!

And then- if you can keep a secret- I was writing up about 1900 Park Fare's breakfast (it's going to publish in a few days!) and I realized that we have had the same Mary Poppins at that breakfast...

It's been a tradition every trip! I thought I could convince myself that it would be okay to skip breakfast and try dinner, but... Mary isn't there in the evening! But when looking at these pictures... I just want to keep these little "accidental" traditions going!

So, I'm considering switching some things up! But then again, I don't want to cancel the 1900 Park Fare Dinner. I would LOVE to have a meal with the Tremaine's! And of course, Cindy and her Prince. Is it weird to go to the same restaurant for lunch AND dinner? :confused3

Suggestions?!

If you're going for character experience over food and atmosphere I say go ahead and do both! We don't love the food at 1900 PF but we do love the Tremaines! The experience of meeting them was a highlight of our trip and one I'm seriously tempted to repeat for our upcoming trip even though we won't have many TS meals. And you can never have too much strawberry soup! :)

We're going the same time as you (hello from th FB group!) and have both breakfast and dinner booked at 1900 PF. I felt a little strange about doing that, but DD is a huge Mary Poppins fan and I couldn't pass up the Tremaines. Now I'm just excited about both. :thumbsup2

HI!! Glad you found me over here. I'm glad I'm not the only person thinking about doing both! :thumbsup2

We met the Tremaines in the parks, and they were still hilarious, so I'm excited to see them at the meal. And YES! The Strawberry Soup is my husband's favorite part of the meal! LOL

Hi There! :wave2:

I saw that your following my PTR so I will follow along with your as well! Also, I see your in the Facebook group? I am too!

Love your plans so far, we are missing you by a day on the Tusker House breakfast. I was thinking about maybe adding in one more ressie so maybe we will overlap!

Can't wait to see if anything else is going to overlap!

Hey there! :) Welcome aboard over here! :dance3:

Hope you and your's have had a wonderful holiday season! :group hug: Lots of Disney planning to come!

Oh my goodness! How is it already ALMOST my FP+ date?!?! One week and I'll be doing my Fastpasses!!! Craziness!

Can I just start by saying, I'm NOT really excited about this. I just never know with my kiddo's when and where to use my FP's! :confused3 I have got to sit down and work on this so I can be ready next week! Not to mention, I will have at least one day that I'm going to have to work with other people's times for FP's! But it will all be worth it and in the end, the trip will be magical... it always is! pixiedust:

Ah the pressures of trying to plan things the right way. THe only way I could figure out how to pick the FP+ times was to go ahead and schedule out our morning itineraries. It feels somewhat silly to be planning this far out the days almost down to the minute but I look at that as the general plan and plan on using it like a checklist while down there.

I used EasyWDW's cheat sheets as a starting off point.

We made a list of *musts* and then I compared that with the FP+ recommendations in the official thread (weighted by difficulty to get/average standard wait times). I'll try for most of them in early afternoon because I knew we'd still be in the parks and would have had time to move at our own pace a bit. The exception to that was Epcot. The only FP+ we're interested in is Soarin' and we want to ride multiple times so we'll ride early and try to pull another FP+ right away. :thumbsup2

I love EasyWDW's crowd calendars. Do they have a FP cheat sheet now too? :confused3 And it's SO silly to be planning my minutes now! But NOW I must!

See, the early afternoon is when we are typically taking naps and then I have to pray the girls wake up in time to use FP's in the late afternoon. :crazy2:

Ugh, I need to figure out our FPs this weekend.

The system works great for us when we are there, but planning them ahead of time drives me batty. :)

I will be back, but I wanted to share this link to the post about my 1900 Park Fare breakfast tradition over at Magical DIStractions!

I PROMISE to update about my FP plans at nap time today! ::yes:: Girl Scout Honor!

He certainly does. And the touring plans have been tested and seem to be proven right. The way I am looking at it is this... I am putting in the planning to the minute now so that I can gauge just how much can be accomplished before the hard line must leave the park for break point. Once we are there we aren't going to stick to heavily to the schedule and will use it more of a check list then a schedule.
