Getting points from the DVC waitlist

I have a question for those of you who have been on the DVC wailtlist for points from sold out resorts. Do you find that most points become available in the first few days of your Use Year? I'm hoping my DVC waitlist comes through as my use year approaches, and I was curious if you think my chances are good?? Thanks much

We have been on the Disney waitlist since May. IMHO the UY does not matter in terms of when points become available. Disney can not sell points they do not have and I double that they would keep points in inventory waiting for the UY to roll around.

I am on the waitlist as well for the sold out AKV Jambo House. My guide called me yesterday and said that I was number 3 and it should be a few more weeks. (I am hoping)
