How do you all handle getting out of the parks in the evening?.

Do you cheat and hop on the resort monorail as a way of beating the crowds?.

Getting to the parking lot, do you hang around in the parks whilst the worst of the crowds reside, do you leave early?, how do you all work this.

Last time we left with the hub of the people, and DS struggled with this, being autistic he couldnt handle the closeness of all the people. Do any of you have a set way of copeing with this.

We try and watch the fireworks from as near the entrance as possible, and then run........................... :D :D

You could stay and look around the shops until the crowds ease off a bit ;)

thanks Kaylee

I suppose last time we went it was more difficult as we didnt have a car and was reliant on the shuttle buses, this time perhaps it might be a good idea to hang around and let the crowds disperse first. Also with the hours being shorter this time, we could make more use of the time(and wait till we get kicked out LOL)

Hey Signtalker,

We have an autistic son , I think we have talked to each other before.

We do not tend to concentrate on the Theme Parks although we always get the 14 day Flexticket because our boy loves Universal and Sea World, generally we just tend to go Magic Kingdom as we have never really felt the attractions at the other parks are suitable - he hasn't the patience to sit through a show for example.

At Disney we have always left before the end to beat the crowds, playing safe I guess, however, we have a disabled badge for the car that we take with us which enables us to park nearer the gate entrance. Do you have one also?

From experience 'escaping' from Disneyparks is hard work, particularly MK with the monorail/ferry options, although it does add to the magic a little when you arrive - certainly with the Ferry.

I still cannot understand, changing the subjest slightly, why they don't copy Universal and build multi-storey car parks.

We hang back - I love strolling round World Showcase after the fireworks......and then of course there's the shops!
In Magic Kingdom, we often get a drink from Casey's Corner and sit at one of the tables outside just relaxing and watching the lights on the Castle......... then it's into the shops!!
...... can you see a pattern forming here :teeth: ?

Seriously, I'd sooner take my time and just enjoy being in the parks than joining in the mad rush for the trams or the transportation.
