Getting My Tickets

I need to get our tickets at the ticket counter (bought them at GTA and Goofy at Ares). But, I don't want to waste an early morning doing it. I was thinking that the night before our first DL day, I would have my DF drop me off, I could get them and then he could swing back around and get me. I don't really want to pay for parking while we do this.

What is our best course of action?

Picking them up the night before is a great idea! You'll be able to do that up until the park closes that night. Are the tickets in your name? You'll ned your ID to get them.

This might be to late but I just bought my tics online. I had them shipped to me for only 3 more dollars. I think that was last monday and i got them on Thursday!

You can park for three hours at DTD for nothing, so why not spend some time there your first night after getting the tickets?

We may go to DTD the night we arrive, but it depends on how tired we are. We'll have just driven 20 hours straight through and on Sunday morning we need to be at the gates by 7am. Ummm, we have a teen and tween girls. They need their sleep.

Yes you can get in. The ticket booths are in the Esplanade. When you have tickets, you choose which side of the Esplanade to go to, b/c the gates to Disneyland and the gates to DCA are opposite each other.

To get into the Esplanade, you can come in from the Harbor side or the DownTown Disney side. No tickets are needed to hang out in the Esplanade, you just have to go through the Bag Check.

I found that playing with an aerial view on google maps of the area really helped my understanding of where things are, combined with knowing that the only places you need tix to get in are once you are actually AT the gates of DL or DCA.

There is a drop off lot area off Harbor right in front of the main entrance. Your DH could drop you there, you could walk through security to the ticket booth, get your tickets and then meet your DH back at the drop off lot.
