Hi

We are getting married on 23rd Jan 2012 on Cocoa Beach, but I would love to have a little disney magic.

It would be great if anyone could answer a few questions I have.

1, I know they have the studio in DTD, could we turn up there the evening of our wedding and have pics taken in our outfits?. Would they do outside shots as well? If not could we book to go at a later date to maybe the GF and have some pics done there?

2. Do the disney cakes and florists only make for disney brides, it would be fantastic if I could still have them and pick them up the day before and take them down with me ( we are staying in a villa in Davenport for a fortnight)

Thanks in advance for your help and any suggestions to make my wedding sparkle with disney magic would be much appreciated.

You can wear whatever you want to DTD! DH and I did Characters in Flight in our wedding attire the afternoon of our wedding.

The pilot of the balloon took this pic. It was tons of fun to walk through DTD. We got lots of congratulations!

I believe Boardwalk Bakery is one of the only bakeries that would allow for pick up. Just call and I'm sure they'll be able to help!

Congratulations and good luck planning!

Congrats!!

You can definitly go anywhere really on Disney Property (EXPECT INSIDE THE THEME PARKS) with your wedding attire. You can take pictures at DTD or any resort on your wish list.

I'm sure you could find a bakery in Cocoa that could make you a disney themed cake. If the boardwalk bakery wasn't on your way to Cocoa depending on where you are traveling from.

Good Luck!

I'm located near Cocoa Beach, and thought I would throw in my opinion/advice.

To go to DTD from Cocoa Beach, expect it to take an hour. Also, DTD is really crowded on the weekends, so try to go during the week if that's possible. You can take photos at DTD and at Boardwalk (or anywhere else not in the parks), but I think Boardwalk photographs better and is less crowded.

I think transporting a cake from Disney to Cocoa would be really hard given the heat and the fact that buttercream will melt and big cakes need to be transported in separate layers and assembled onsite. But there are many local Brevard bakers that can help you out! :)

Davenport is really far from Cocoa and Disney, I'd say 2 hours from Cocoa just to be sure and about an hour from Disney with traffic, so be sure to factor that in. There are also wonderful local florists on the Space Coast that do a nice job too! If you want some recommendations, let me know.

Hope that helps you out!

Many thanks for all your advice.

We are getting married at sunset and then driving straight back to orlando.

Does anyone know how I would be able to contact the photo studio at DTD to book an appointment.

Where would anyone recommend staying my df was looking at Davenport but I want to be more central to the fun. Disney is important to me but he is more interested in IOA/US.

My sister is making me some mickey flower picks to add to my bouquet as I have decided to go with silk, this means that I can bring it home and there are some fantastic ones on etsy
