Did that get your attention? :rotfl2: I know they often pick a child to "help" with the show at Sea World. How does that lucky kid get picked? Is there a place to be during the preshow to increase your chances of getting chosen? A certain group of seats? Acting especially enthusiastic (instead of cranky about the August heat???) Anyone?:woohoo:

I was there about two weeks ago and I noticed that the little girl was in the middle of the stadium, up front in the splash zone. Don't know if that always where they pick from....

When I went to the Shamu show that's where the boy they picked also sat. It seemed though that the trainer already had talked to the child and knew what his dream was.

I was picked in 2005 as part of the Shamu show. We just happened to get to the stadium early, DH and DS went to the splash zone. I went up to the center of the stadium, about half-way up. An employee walked up to me and asked if I was interested in participating. DUH!!! She took two of us behind the glass wall to stand on the edge of the tank and explained what we would be doing. It was great. We have video and pictures.

Of course DS was upset that he didn't get to go, but thought it was cool that his mom did. It was a great experience that I would love to do again.

FLA NUT, was this when they were doing the "who makes the best trainers -- men or women" bit? I loved that, but they stopped doing that when Believe started.

Kelly - I believe that was the routine. The women went up on stage behind the glass and the guys of course got wet out front. I would love to have the opportunity to do that again.
