Getting into a resort when not staying there?

We have friends that are coming in today. They are staying at CBR. We are driving over to meet them tomorrow. Can we get through the "check point" when not staying there? Will there be a time limit on how long we can be there? Just trying to figure out the best way to find them/meet up with them. And we might just want to hang out at the resort with them. Thanks for your help.

When we got married at Disney, obviously we had people meeting us at our room at the GF to hang out, try on tuxes, and of course, assist me with my dress, make-up, hair, etc. They just told the front gate that they were here to visit with resort guests, probably gave our names and had NO problems. They came directly to our room (without an escort or anything - I had given them directions to our building/room) and stayed for several hours.

The next year, my best friend met me at POFQ to go to lunch on the boat to DTD. Once again, she told the front gate she was there to visit with resort guests.
No problems!

When we were at the AKL in october, we had met friends at MK and they were only staying for the day, but we all wanted a break from the MK and we decided to go back to the AKL. When we got up to the security guard at AKL, we just told the guard that the people behind us were friends staying with us for the afternoon - the security guard just asked my friends for ID, then let them in no problem.
