getting in and out of disney

What is the transportation like out of disney is you want tro go to a supermarket? Easy to find, how busy/reliable? We haven't organised a car for our time at WDW but shouldwe get one?

We always rent a smaller car since we find the ease of having our own wheels a good thing. If you are staying onsite, and want to leave, there aren't a lot of options. I think the most direct method is a taxi. They are around the Disney area, and front desk could get one quickly. Not cheap, though. There are car services mentioned on these boards (try Transportation), that people really love, and they will stop at a grocery store if you want.

if you only want a few items - then you can use WDW transportation and go to the very limited but expensive gift/convenience stores at WL/VWL, BC/BCV, BW, OKW and the new SSR (near DD).

also always check out the gift store where you are staying - they generally have the necessities.
