Cast:

Me = Claire (33), massive Disney fan, chief planner…(a little on the OCD side ) obsessive shopper, addicted to scrapbooking and very impulsive which doesn’t bode well for our credit cards!

Hubby = Lee (34), not a massive Disney fan but still enjoys it, adrenaline junkie, easy going and the sensible half of our partnership!

15th December 2008.

Thankfully Lee was feeling much better this morning, he just had a cough & a headache which was a huge improvement. :cheer2: We got showered & dressed then caught the bus over to Animal Kingdom arriving about 11am.

We decided that today was going to be an easy going day, apart from the Christmas parade & Finding Nemo the Musical we weren’t that bothered what else we managed to get done. We started with a bite to eat at Pizzafari, we both had a slice of cheese pizza, coke & a frozen lemonade (using the DDP). We haven’t eaten here before & both thought the pizza was nice, perfect for a quick snack. :)

We headed to Camp Minnie-Mickey as I had read on the DIS about the different Christmas trees they have for each character at the meet & greet area.

Here is Chip N Dale’s tree…..

We had a look around the gift shops & headed over towards Dinoland as it was almost time for Finding Nemo the Musical. It was our first time seeing this new show & it was fantastic, we both loved it. ::yes:: It was very difficult to get some good photos as you are not allowed to use a flash during the performance.

Cont'd below....

We exited the theatre & headed through Asia, the queue for Expedition Everest was crazy as everyone had come out the theatre & got in the queue!

We carried on pass the monkeys.

We decided to have a walk around the Maharajah Jungle trek.

People were starting to get a spot for the parade so we grabbed a drink & sat on the floor waiting, just in front of Flights of Wonder. The cast member was playing around with everyone by trapping them with the rope as they tried to walk past & other funny things that entertained everyone whilst we waited.

The parade was ok, it was the same as the normal parade but they had added a few Christmas effects to it. :santa:

As we headed over to the bus stop we saw our bus was there so we ran and just managed to get on it. :thumbsup2 We got back to the lodge and decided to see if we could get a reservation at Artist Point for dinner, they had lots of availability so we chose 7.05pm. We went back to the room & I packed most of our clothes etc ready for our hotel change tomorrow & we showered & dressed for dinner.

We walked back to the restaurant & were seated immediately, Lee ordered Cedar Plank Smoked Salmon which was served with brussel sprouts (well two of them :lmao: ) and roasted potatoes & a Budweiser. I ordered a New York Strip Steak which was served with roasted potatoes & carrots & a large Pinot Grigio. We didn’t fancy dessert so just paid the bill, $ 96 + tip.

We went back to the room & I finished off the packing then at 9.30pm we walked over to the WL beach to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. :goodvibes We then grabbed a hot chocolate from Roaring Forks & watched tv for a while before falling to sleep about 11pm.

Coming up….Day 16 – Breakfast with Cinderella, Yacht Club, Epcot & Yachtsmen Steak House.
