I know I'm more of a lurker around here, but I read the posts daily and feel like I know everyone :goodvibes I had to share what we discovered about my 4 month old DD this weekend..... she is in LOVE with Mickey Mouse :woohoo: Let the brainwashing continue LOL... She was crying and crying so we put on cartoons and what do you know but Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was on... she instantly quieted down and was laughing in no time... we've now figured out that it's really Mickey that she loves.. he's the one that she pays the most attention to and laughs every time... it's sooo funny.. am I a bad mom for encouraging her to watch tv :rolleyes1 I just think it's too funny :lovestruc and this is through no influence of ours... she actually has no "disney" toys (until now LOL). I can't wait until her first trip next month!!!
if i can remember how to post photos I'll add the one we took where she's sitting in her chair watching TV.

Enjoy your first trip with your daughter. I have one of my own and she is totally Disneyfied. Her first trip was at 16 months and has been going ever since. If you do not mind may I make a couple of suggestions? Pick a spot in the parks and take a picture each time you go. Great way to watch her grow up. Our spot is the exit sign at Splash Mountain although it took a little while for her to be tall enough to get there. The other is to do a trip report. Posted or just jotted down, it is a great way to have a lasting memory.

Hope you have a great time.

We have Disney brainwashed our 2 year old...from a very young age. In fact, in utero! At times, it has backfired on us. For example, having to put "Mickey Mouse March" on repeat for him (he will listen to it over and over), him insisting that he watch Clubhouse first thing in the morning. (And if we say "no", he goes down the list..."Leo?" "Buzz, Woody?" "Stitch?" "Nemo?" The negotiations have begun! So, although Disney-fying the kiddo is a good thing, I have found, at times, it has backfired on us! Our 9 week old will certainly follow in his footsteps, I am sure. So have fun with it, but beware!!!

DS-Merrick at 20 weeks in utero....how'd that happen???

My 4 yo started randomly singing "Its a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" at dinner a few months ago. Mission Accomplished!!
