Has anyone had any experience using a car service or taxi to pick up groceries at a nearby store? If so what would the best option be?

A one day car rental can be cheaper than a taxi. You can do your shopping and maybe have a nice dinner off property before returning the car.

If you just want to pick up groceries, the least expensive and easiest way would be a shopping service live wegoshop. I've had great experiences.

Definitely try wegoshop. Her fee is lower than the cost to rent a car and you don't waste your precious vacation time.:thumbsup2
We love her service and use it everytime now.

We used ME to get to our resort and wegoshop for our groceries. The delivery person was at the resort when we arrived! Great service!

We've used wegoshop 5 times and love the service. Even with the delivery fee we saved money. Give it a try

So for WeGoShop if you are not there when they deliver how do you pay for your order?? Or do they try to match up with your arrival time?

Trying to decide between WeGoShop and GardenGrocery. Like the idea of WeGoShop picking up your items you want and maybe a cheaper price than GG. But mostly going to want water, pop, juice and dairy items. Maybe a few bakery items for the morning..

I have done both and would not take a taxi again as this was the most expensive option..About $15-20 each way!!!

I love:love: wegoshop.com! I can't say enough good things about them. I love getting to choose what items I want rather than having to pick from a pre-set list.

I have always met them in our room. We usually try to pick a 4-5pm time slot for delivery..just in case our room won't be ready until 4..

We've used GG many times. It really can't get any easier. We never rent a car so this makes the most sense for us. Great serviceand their prices are decent.

I agree - love GG and would highly recommend! I also like that you can pay via Paypal if you like.

When you place your order with WeGoShop they will ask you for a delivery time. I just take the time that our flight lands and add 1.5-2 hours to that time, depending on if we're using ME or not. The last time, the delivery person from WeGoShop beat us to the resort and called us while we were on the bus to say that she was waiting for us!

We usually use Wegoshop.. (Especially if we fly in..) Love the service as they are really dependable and super flexible.

Last year, my daughter and I drove down to Orlando and got there a day or two early before DW and DS. I decided it would be a good idea to go grocery shopping on our own to save a few bucks.

BWV Conceirge recommended the Super Walmart near by... Walmart was easy enough to find, but it was PACKED.. There were an aisle or two that didn't really have layouts.. Flatbeds all over the place as employees were restocking shelves. Shoppers going every which way...

I shop at Super Walmart's all the time at home, or even at VB, but I'm not sure I'll go back to the that one again...

We probabily saved a bit of money over going to Wegoshop or GG, but honestly, I'd rather have spent my time at the BWV pool drinking a cold beer.
