Getting from YC to restaurant off property?

We are staying at YC and are thinking of going to Chili's for dinner (have a few gift cards). We are a family of 5. It says the closes Chili's is 5 miles away. I am wondering how much a taxi will cost and wondering if it will be that much of an inconvenience. Looks like the Chili's is near Disney Springs. Anyone have any advice?

Both lyft and uber have a way to estimate a fare on their sites.

Not sure how much it would cost but it wouldn't be any inconvenience. The hotel will call one for you. If you don't have any little ones who need a car seat, maybe Uber would be cheaper.

Believe it or not, we have never taken an Uber but I will look into it. Thanks for the advice. No car seats needed.

Depending on how you go, it's either 9.5 miles via I-4, 5.6 miles via Buena Vista Dr and partially I-4 or 7.2 miles via Winter Garden Vineland Rd and Buena Vista Dr. It's a distance from Disney Springs. It's closer to Giordano's and Winn Dixie.

We ubered on property. Very easy with little wait. If you download the ap you can put in your pickup location and destination and it will give you a fare.

Also if you are setting up an Uber or Lyft account for the first time, you are likely to be given discounts. Lyft gave me discounts with a deadline. I didn't use Lyft by the deadline. They gave me more discounts. Also you can get discount codes from people. There's a really good Uber/Lyft thread on the transportation board.

I am not sure how you would feel about option #2 but Chili's is on Rt. 435 near DS...I would take an Uber/Lyft from YC or from Disney Springs.....
