Getting from WVL to DTD and Boardwalk?

What the easiest way?

Bus for DTD, but what about Boardwalk?

And how long does it take?

There is no bus to the Boardwalk area. You would need to take a bus to DHS and then walk over to the Boardwalk or take the boat over.
The walk from DHS to the Boardwalk takes about 20 minutes, the boat ride may take a bit longer as it stops at the Swan/Dolphin first, I am not sure if the Boardwalk is the next stop or if the YC/BC is next. It's a relaxing boat ride though.

You can also walk from Epcot, World Showcase entrance to the Boardwalk or take a bus from DTD to the Beach Club Villas and then walk to the Boardwalk

Keep in mind that admission to Epcot is required for this.

That will work, but it's pretty far out of the way.

To get to the Boardwalk I would take the bus from WL to MK (just a 5 min ride) and then hop on a BWI bus there.

I would have to agree with the previous poster..take the boat to MK (or bus) and then hop on the BW bus there..as long as MK is open.

To get to Downtown Disney from ANY resort (noting that this is the second 'source resort' about which this poster is asking): take the bus marked Downtown Disney. Alternate transport from POR/POFQ, SSR/THV, and OKW = Friendship boats.

To get to the Boardwalk from ANY non-Epcot-area resort: take a bus to ANY open park, then the "Boardwalk" bus to the Boardwalk.
