Do you think allotting 1 hour travel time to get to a 6 pm Cirque show is reasonable? We are staying at WL ( never been before pixiedust: very excited) and I am not familiar with the travel times as I am with a few other resorts.

Should be fine. Its s direct bus to downtown amd then like a 5 minute walk. Probably like a 20-25 minute trip once you're moving

It depends; how early to want to get to the theater? Some folks like to get there early, while others like to get there as close to show time as possible. The general advice is to allow at least 45 minutes to get from one place to another using Disney transportation. This allows for travel time, stops at other resorts, plus time to wait for the bus. I like to be at the theater at least 30 minutes before the show starts (to avoid the possibility of being late). So I would probably leave for the bus stop around 5:30 pm to be safe. I'd rather be early and wander around DTD for bit, than to be late or have to rush to get to the theater.

The other alternative is to take a taxi. It might not be faster (if you get lucky and walk up to the bus stop as soon as the bus arrives), but it probably will. The cost would probably be about $20-$25 plus tip.

It sounds reasonable, but I wouldn't want to be at the bus stop much after 5PM. Planning for a worst case scenario it could take 30 min for a bus to arrive, and the ride could be about 30 min.

I'd probably leave WL around 4:30 and plan on having some more time to kill in DTD and not risk being late.

We love WL and its transportation options, but DTD seems to be the longest place to get to. Enjoy your trip, it is an awesome resort.

They open up the theater for seating 30 minutes prior to the show start. If you plan on getting anything from the concession stand then you really need to be in there 30 minutes early. I would be at the bus stop by 4:30. If you get there early they have benches all out in front of the Cirque theater and there are little retaining walls you can sit on.

Last time we got there a little before 5:30 and had a few minutes to kill and we just looked around the Cirque gift shop. I got a fridge magnet and a T-Shirt on clearance for $17.

The pre-show act with the clowns starts about 15 minutes before the show starts so if you want to see all of that you should try to be seated by 5:45 at the latest.

I would leave 90 mins...just to be on the safe side. Sure, you may get there by 5:15, but then you can poke around the immediate area before heading in to take your seats. I like to get to my seat at Cirque at least 20 mins prior to show time.
