Forgive me. I can't remember. Is there a bus you can catch from MGM Studios to Downtown Disney?

Thanks in advance for your help!

No buses from the parks to DTD. You have to go back to your resort and get a bus from there.

maybe you can catch the bus to Saratoga Springs and walk/bus/boat to DownTownDisney

The Saratoga Springs bus is for the guests of Saratoga Springs or people who wish to visit the resort, the spa or the golf course. You really need to go back to your own resort and use that bus.

No you don't have to go back to your resort. If you are a guest staying on Disney property, annual pass holder, or have a MYW Park Hopper ticket, you are allowed full use of The Disney Transportation System. You are not restricted to just your resort buses.

It seems like they used to have direct busses from the parks to DD. I heard that Disney decided to end those routes because people were abusing the system by parking for free at DD and taking the busses to the parks.

What some people will go through to save $7. :confused3

To avoid the wrath of DVC members (ducking :)), try any of the following:
Take a bus to Port Orleans Riverside or Port Orleans French Quarter, then take the ferry from there to Downtown Disney;
Walk or take a boat to the Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club, then take a bus from there to Downtown Disney; or
Take the first available bus from MGM to whatever resort it's going, then at that resort switch over to the Downtown Disney bus.

As another poster already stated.....just walk or boat from the Studios to any of the Epcot resorts. The Swan/Dolphin is the first stop if you take the boat. You can catch a bus to DTD from any of the Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht clubs, and Swan and Dolphin).
As long as you have a valid theme park ticket you can use any and all transportation within WDW.
