Getting from SSR to Disney Quest?

Looking at the transportation map, it looks like you can walk from SSR to DTD. I know there's a boat from SSR to DTD, but if we're going to DisneyQuest, the boat goes to the wrong end of DTD. So,

1) How long is the walk from SSR to DisneyQuest?
2) How often to the SSR-DTD boats run, and how long is the walk from the boat dock to DisneyQuest?

DW and I are staying at BCV, and are planning on going to DisneyQuest. I'm kind of curious to see SSR, so I thought we might go there first (bus from Epcot), take a model tour at SSR (and maybe get a fastpass or two for the effort?), and then walk/boat to DisneyQuest. Any feedback on our plan would be appreciated.

The quickest way walking from the SSR tour is going out the back of AP, down past the boat dock, around the golf cart path. It will bring you up on the westside. It is not nearly as long as walking the MarketPlace route.

I've looked at the map, so I think I know the route you're talking about. Either way, though, there's only one bridge across the river, right? And from there, how long of a walk is it to DTD- especially Disney Quest?

We did this in January. We walked along the path the first poster pointed out. I don't know if you can do this during the day when golfers may be on the putting green you pass. It took us about 10 or 15 minutes to walk to House of Blues with three kids. DQ is just a minute further. I do think the boat stops at both ends of DD--I would ask. We took the boat to Marketplace. It was relaxing, but we could have walked there in the time it took to wait.

No, there's two paths. One leads from the Congress Park and takes you to the parking lot of the Marketplace portion of DTD. You basically are in the Rainforest Cafe portion of DTD when you arrive.

But the second path starts by the golf pro shop and marina area. That's on the other end of the SSR complex from the first path. This path takes you on a short walk across the bridge, and ends at Cirque du Soleil, which is right next to Disney Quest. Once on the path, you'll be at Disney Quest in 5 minutes or less.

We took both paths several times. They are well marked and pleasant.

Our boat driver at the SSR marina told us that they just stop at Marketplace, then return to SSR. Then you can transfer to the water taxi that goes between the Marketplace and Westside docks.

But since we were the only people on the boat, he asked if we wanted him to take us to the House of Blues stop. We said OK, so he dropped us off there. I wouldn't count on it, though.
